Melbourne’s first Group 1 of the season, Saturday’s 2020 Memsie Stakes (1400m), has attracted a strong field of 15, with last start winners Behemoth ($4.20) and Savatiano ($4.50) prominent in the early market.

Behemoth took out the Group 3 Spring Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville last start, with Savatiano victorious in the Group 2 P.B. Lawrence Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.

Regal Power, Streets Of Avalon, Cascadian, Mystic Journey, and Arcadia Queen are the other runners to come from the P.B. Lawrence.

Six gallopers are resuming here, with three-year-old Glenfiddich, Harlem, Gatting, Iconoclasm, Mr Quickie, and Princess Jenni all hitting the $750,000 contest first up.
