We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, September 30, and provided our best horse racing tips.
The penultimate day of Winter and the last metro race meeting before Spring.
We almost ended the bleak season with a bang on Saturday, landing one at each-way odds and going desperately close with another two at double figure odds.
Back to the grind at the mid weekers here and we are confident we’ve found you at least a couple of live chances at good odds once again.
We are focusing on the two main states where we start the week on good rated tracks at Warwick Farm and Sandown. But fairly typical for this time of year, the forecast could be better.
We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, September 30.
Sandown, Race 1 – 3. Lottwon ($3.40)
Big run on debut when wanted to do plenty wrong in transit but was still attacking the line late.
That was nearly a year ago. He’s been treated with kid gloves since then but has certainly looked the part in a number of trials and jump outs.
Comes into a respectable draw after the emergencies come out, and quality hoop Ethan Brown takes the ride.
Stable firing having trained 7 winners since the 28th July.
Looks to have plenty of upside.

Warwick Farm, Race 1 – 4. Dimitrov ($4.80)
Tipped him last start after a solid debut performance, and see no reason to jump off here 3rd up.
Has made solid progress having run 3rd and then 2nd his two runs to date, over 1100m and 1200m respectively. And looks well suited stepping to 1400m here.
Nash replaces Tom Sherry. Big tick there.

Warwick Farm, Race 3 – 4. This’llbetheone ($5.50/$2.00)
His past couple have been better than they look on paper.
Just found them a bit sharp over 1800m on the Kensington track. Then drew the outside over this track and trip last start.
Got a long way back there, and then made a sustained run deepest a long way out before peaking late.
Will get a nice bit of tempo on here with the top weight likely to set them a merry dance and I think he is very suspect.
Fitter now with a run under his belt at the 2200m, and positive rider change.
Very backable at each-way odds in a race that falls away outside of the top 3 or 4 chances.

Sandown, Race 4 – 5. Our Red Morning ($1.65)
Looks one of the better bets you’ll see this week anywhere around the country.
Big win last start when sitting deep and then giving the jock a nightmare ride on one rein down the straight. Still far too good.
Trial in between. Drops back from Saturday grade to a fairly soft midweek target.
One for the multis!

Warwick Farm, Race 7 – 12. Sovereign Fund ($7.00/$2.50)
Had the world at his feet as a 2YO colt, winning his first two in good style before disappointing in the Magic Millions.
Tipped out, and had his runs very spaced since then before having the ultimate gear change to commence this prep, returning two stone lighter as a gelding.
A very good trial indeed, picking up the leader as they turned for home, gapping the others, and never off the steel.
The race favourite, Silentsar went around in the feature maiden on Magic Millions day, but they thought enough of this fellow to race him in the $2 million feature there with Jamie Kah up and he went around at $6.50.
That says a bit about his quality. And he might just find that again here after being gelded.
Value play.
