Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, November 30, and provided our best horse racing tips.

It is the final day on the punt for the Spring. Which might sound disappointing, but unlike other sporting codes, racing is the gift that keeps on giving all year round. And that means it is only a matter of days before you place your first bet of Summer.

A couple of new and interesting feature races to look forward to over the festive season, as well as a quality program of traditional stakes races throughout December, and of course Magic Millions just around the corner in the New Year.

In the meantime, we’ve headed to Gosford and back to the Gold Coast again for our top picks following a successful day out on Saturday.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, November 30.

Gosford, Race 1 – 5. Savanaci ($2.80)

You wouldn’t normally find me tipping one out of a Scone Class 1 heading into town on a Wednesday, but that is the kind of race this is.

This Tivaci mare is lightly raced and getting out to the trip she is bred for, for the first time.

I really liked the way she knuckled down and attacked the line to win last start as a maiden racing out of her grade. And although she ran second in a Kembla maiden prior to that, her run was a lot better than the 2.5L margin suggests. Especially given that the winner went on to win a Class 2 race the following start.

That sort of form is good enough for this. She can get us off on the right foot.

Gold Coast, Race 1 – 2. Mishani Gangster ($1.95)

This does look like a race in two but prepared to back the horse coming out of a Sunday Sunshine Coast win to topple the last start winner of a Saturday Eagle Farm race.

The colt should start favourite over the gelding, but I thought the Les Ross galloper travelled as well as the top weight, and probably let down better.

Drawn perfectly for the 900m scamper from where he’ll either hold the lead or just camp off whatever crosses him.

Would only need to quicken like he did last start and they are going to have a hard time running him down.

Gosford, Race 4 – 1. Smooth Flight ($4.20)

A tricky little maiden this but on exposed form, there’s enough to say the top weight is the one to beat.

The stable mate, Beirut Miss, has from lines out of maiden races around Glacier Queen, who we are keen on later in the card. But she’s first up, off pass mark trials, and gives just a half kilo to a gelding the same age.

Smooth Flight has the run under his belt, and it was a better run than it appears on paper given he appeared to have it over his rider late. Tyler Schiller who is in career form takes over here and can iron out a few of those issues.

The well bred #3 gets a weight pull from their recent meet, but I thought the Joe Pride galloper first up was a better run than the Godolphin horse who was second up and is probably going to be looking for further than this.

The main danger is probably the #5 who hit the line strongly in a provincial maiden last start.

But happy to go with the top weight, who will be suited by this tempo and the step up in trip, along with the stronger rider late, the good draw, and the race experience.

Gosford, Race 5 – 1. Glacier Queen ($6.50/$2.15)

*This horse has since been scratched.*

Scratched last Wednesday when she drew poorly. Draws better here, although has to carry weight back against her own sex. But I think she has a good case to overlook that.

She has paid the price a bit for her consistency given she has only won the one race, but that just means she’s the more reliable betting prospect.

Had excuses for a few of her near misses. Most notably the Kensington track, and ground on the worst side of soft.

She’ll get better than that here and she gets the services of McEvoy from a suitable draw.

There’s a few recent winners in this but those wins haven’t been comparable form wise to some of the horses she has beaten and been competitive against in her previous campaigns.

Sound trials, and has shown talent above this grade in the past. Think she can lump the weight and win first up against fairly moderate midweek opposition.

Gold Coast, Race 6 – 4. Reflect The Stars ($3.20)

Prepared to overlook her second up defeat and think she would have been starting close to favourite if she had stuck her neck out there.

Whether punters take her on trust again remains to be seen, but we are giving her another go.

Her form in the southern states is superior to this and if you forgive her for going down in a  muddling 4 horse field, and go off her old form and the first up run for the new barn, she looks the one to beat.

Mostly out of form horses or horses that have been up a long while in this. Happy to play around here at a price, hoping that the fresh legs on the scene is the way to go.
