Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, May 4, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Most eyes will be on the action at Warrnambool this Wednesday, but we have scouted far and wide to try and find you the winners to keep your pockets lined during what is one of the most iconic weeks on the racing calendar.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, May 4.

Warrnambool, Race 1 – 1. Jamarra ($3.10)

Looks the clear winner on exposed form.

A bit of specking down the weights for the filly having her first start in Yellow Sam. She has looked above average in her couple of jump outs but the colt Jamarra has some very solid runs on the board around horses like Lofty Strike, Jacquinot, and Let’srollthedice, and is fairly well treated at the weights.

No excuses when defeated at a short quote last start, but can atone here.

Murray Bridge, Race 1 – 2. Deep Point ($2.20)

Gave a little bit of cheek when debuting down the Flemington straight.

A winner of two recent jump outs, gets the service of Barend Vorster, and only has to overcome the wide draw to account for this lot.

Will be short, but should be winning. One for your multis.

Canterbury, Race 1 – 14. Zambezi River ($4.00)

Was outstanding on debut when runner up to one time Slipper favourite Sejardan. Then a couple of moderate trials before copping a buffeting early in the Inglis Millenium and was never in the hunt.

Tipped out after just the one run, then went well defeating noted good trailer Metallicity in a recent hitout (best time of the 2YO’s that morning).

Looks to have come back in good order. Not a lot of forward looking types in this, Shalailed looking the main threat, but the Waller runner gets the nod here, first up, off a good trial and a soft draw with McDonald up.

Eagle Farm, Race 3 – 7. Amathuba ($2.65)

Asked to do it at both ends before puncturing late at her latest start, and has been honest in everything she’s done prior to that. The runner up there has gone two from three since and looks promising.

This is a drop in grade, a senior rider takes over, and she has the speed to overcome the bad draw.

Will look the winner for a long way.

Canterbury, Race 4 – 6. Barrichello ($5.50/$2.00)

A touch disappointing on paper last start but he was entitled to be a little flat after a bold win in horrendous conditions his start prior.

Chased gamely from well back two prior to that, then had a torrid run in a race where a pretty smart stablemate peeled off his back and was far too good for them.

I think he’s racing well, and he’s right up to this if he can bounce back to his best, provided  he has one more on him.

Best Bet – 2. Deep Point (Murray Bridge, Race 1)
Next Best – 14. Zambezi River (Canterbury, Race 1)
Value Runner – 6. Barichello (Canterbury, Race 4)
