Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, May 18, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Trying conditions across the country continue for both horses and punters this Wednesday as we head to the tricky Kensington circuit in Sydney, out to the western districts to Ballarat in Victoria, and up the highway to Caloundra for a Poly Track meeting at the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, May 18.

Kensington, Race 1 – 6. O’Tycoon ($2.60)

*This horse has since been scratched.*

We’ve seen this combo produce plenty of debut winners before, and this one profiles very much on point.

Speedster who will be looking to push forward and control things from in front which King does so well. Has had two trials, won both in good style, the first coming over subsequent winner of the Scone 2YO feature on Saturday.

A lot to like here, can get punters off to a flyer.

Sunshine Coast Poly, Race 4 – 1. Lansborough Lad ($2.05)

A horses for courses pick here.

I would have been happy to go with Red Hot Rubix if they were on the course proper given his eye catcher on debut behind the handy Amathuba, however I’ve settled on Lansborough Lad given the track and race tempo.

There’s a few nice last start runs coming into this race, but this horse was as good as any of them, beating home subsequent impressive winner, King Shalaa on even terms.

Showed he can come out positive with the way he bounced last start, that should see him settle handy, and looks like he’s suited at 1400m the way he finished off last start.

Ready to win.

Ballarat, Race 5 – 5. California Surreal ($6.00/$1.85)

*This horse has since been scratched.*

Think she’s a much better filly than her record suggests.

Has gone close on a few occasions including her return first up, then just never looked comfortable in awful conditions second up.

Headed to Melbourne and to Sandown for a change of scenery last start, and was disappointing on paper but on review, she didn’t corner great and was never happy on the Victorian leg all the way down the running.

Three weeks between runs and no doubt plenty of work into her in between, I think she can pull out a run here at good odds.

Sunshine Coast Poly, Race 6 – 4. Ringmaster ($2.45)

Big raps on this horse and why not off what we saw at the trials.

I’m certain it was just a case of the track bringing him unstuck on debut. They clearly have QLD winter carnival 2YO features in mind for him so it makes sense to get him on a dry surface and give him a kill to get some points on the board.

I’m certain that is exactly what this is, and expect him to win well.

Won’t be any price but looks an anchor leg for multi players.

Kensington, Race 7 – 5. Barrichello ($16/$4.20)

*This horse has since been scratched.*

He has a real fitness edge over his rivals here and continues to race with great heart. That along with the decision to claim here look to be real ticks for him in what will no doubt be trying conditions again.

Just the winner of one race, but this is well within his grasp when you line them up and he is nice double figure odds.

Best Bet – 4. Ringmaster (Sunshine Coast, Race 6)
Next Best – 6. O’Tycoon (Kensington, Race 1)
Best Roughie – 5. Barrichello (Kensington, Race 7)
