Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, May 17, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Some solid cards around the country this Wednesday which is indicative by how far we have cast our net for our top tips.

We head to Bendigo for the first, then off to Warwick Farm for a couple, before darting over to Gawler in SA, finally ending up in Ipswich late in the day.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, May 17.

Bendigo, Race 1 – 4. Marching ($4.60/$1.90)

Russian Revolution 2YO who has been gelded since we last saw him.

Did plenty wrong on debut and prepared to say he’s come back a more intelligent animal since becoming ‘two stone lighter’.

Looked good winning two recent jump outs at Flemington, breaking 0.49 on both occasions without much effort. Also trialed well in Sydney prior to his debut.

Always happy to back a Waterhouse juvenile against relatively unraced opposition. D Oliver up is always an added bonus.

Warwick Farm, Race 1 – 15. No More Lies ($3.60)

Very hard to go past this filly off her two effortless trials this time in, the latest where she beat home Saltaire who went very close without having any luck in the Scone 2YO feature on Saturday.

Gets a soft draw for her debut, and looks a ready made race horse.

Looks the most likely of the raced brigade and lining up the others off trial form.

Warwick Farm, Race 2 – 4. Buillt ($7.50/$2.40)

Took a while to wind up, but looked good once he hit the front resuming.

Kept boxing on inside of horses, chasing home smart stable mate Rediener 2nd up, again over 1400m where he gave the impression he was definitely in need of more ground.

Went to a strong mile Saturday metro race his next start, and again made ground over the final stages in a race void of speed.

I think he is probably looking for further than this again, but drops back in grade, and gets onto a bigger expanse in a race where there looks plenty of speed on paper.

Worth though at good odds.

Gawler, Race 4 – 11. Queen In The North ($5.50/$2.15)

Knocking on the door when she went to Oakbank but was unsuited by the track there.

Came here on Anzac Day and was exposed four deep on the corner where she looked the winner but just found one better in the run home. Big margin to 3rd. Winner went on to place in the Adelaide Guineas next start.

Not a lot in this, gets her chance today.

Ipswich, Race 7 – 4. Dark Chill ($8.50/$2.90)

He has got us a few times this customer but I have been of the opinion that this and more is his right trip, perhaps we should have just been a bit more patient with him.

Out of a speed mare by a dour stallion, he has definitely thrown to the Dad’s side.

Certainly not disgraced last time out, still boxing on late over 1800m. Goes to 2200m and meets the winner and second horse much better at the weights after the claim.

The patience is running thin, probably on his last chance here, but this looks his right race now, and don’t discount him in the QLD Derby with that race blown wide open with The Vowels getting beat on Saturday and Kovalica having issues.
