Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, May 10, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Whilst a polar blast might have swept across the southeastern states of Australia, we’ve still got some hot tips for you this week at Sandown in Melbourne and on the Kensington track in Sydney.

Whilst a little further north we find a long overdue maiden that looks set to break his duck at Ipswich along with one of the more unusually placed runners you are likely to see as she looks to kick start an Oaks campaign.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, May 10.

Sandown, Race 1 – 1. Grand Larceny ($3.60)

I think it’s a case of the first starters battling it out here.

Both have trialled very well, but I’m leaning towards the more zippy type which is the Hawkes colt, that is a half to The Everest winner, Yes Yes Yes.

I really like the earnestness in which he has come out with in both his jump outs. And whilst the Moloney filly has motored home late in her two outings, she is going to be spotting her main rival a big start which might prove too hard to reel back over the 1000m.

Both look to have a future but I’m going with the colt on this occasion.

Kensington, Race 1 – 7. Icebreaker ($16/$4.80)

I thought they erred by trying to ride him quite when going to 1400m for the first time in the 2YO feature at Hawkesbury.

He looked a gritty customer off his trials and his debut run when they went forward on him, but when they rode him cute last start, he never got in the hunt.

Gets a weight turn around off the fancied Californian, and a better draw. Expect they will be more positive. Stays at 1400m.

Can give a sight at big odds.

Ipswich, Race 3 – 1. Lansborough Lad ($2.90)

I think we’ve given him life a few times.

An eight start maiden who has looked the winner and looked like he’s turned it up more than a few times. But he’s had an extended spell, and off his trials, you would have to say that whatever was holding him back from winning in the past, he has overcome.

Needs to if he’s ever going to make a proper race horse, but wouldn’t need to have found much to beat this lot.

Ipswich, Race 4 – 1. Missy Moola ($2.40)

Very unusual prep, and very unusually placed. But the trials were very good going to the line with the likes of Aft Cabin, Kementari, and Palmetto, and even though she jumps straight out past 2000m in trip and carries the top weight as a 3YO filly against older male horses, you’ve simply just got to back Gai’s judgement.

Trials are good, gets the weight for a reason, destined for bigger honours?

Sandown, Race 8 – 14. Gundy Bridge ($2.10)

Lightly raced 5YO gelding from a stable not generally renowned for their patience. That in itself must tell you something.

But if you don’t think that’s a fair sign of this horse’s ability, then look no further than the margins he has put up whilst progressing through the grades in Sydney.

Three demolition jobs for three wins from his last three starts at a combined margin of nearly 11 lengths.

Five month break, two strong trials in Sydney and found the line well late over 1000m in a Flemington jump out.

Talented, and can only assume they are kicking off in Melbourne with a target race in mind over winter.
