Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, June 7, and provided our best horse racing tips.

We find quite a strong card for this time of year at Canterbury with a number of exciting debutants on show with the Godolphin team having a particularly strong hand.

Leading hoop James McDonald appears to have a strong book and looks hard to shake in the Jockey’s Challenge if you fancy that kind of flutter.

We’ve also headed to Gawler with our best long shot selection of the day which we think is certainly worth an each-way ticket on his best form, whilst we look to team up with a trainer and jockey combo that have a formidable strike rate when they team together up north at Doomben.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, June 7.

Canterbury, Race 1 – 2. Commemorative ($2.05)

This looks a very forward 2YO from the powerful Godolphin team.

Trialled solidly her first hit out when boxing on late inside of runners. Then I think we got to see what she is really about when striding to the lead before the bend and giving nothing else a look in at her latest effort.

Big, impressive cut of a horse. Imagine James McDonald would have used a fair bit of his pull here to be on board for this.

Looks a cracking filly.

Gawler, Race 1 – 4. Santastico ($17/$6.00)

He’s been disappointing since coming back but ran a very cheeky race in good company on debut.

That was at 1100m, his two runs back have been at 1000m, and he looks the type of horse who will appreciate the chance to settle into his work at 1200m which he gets here.

Will work across and race handy, fitter third up.

Can run a race at big odds if he puts his best foot forward.

Canterbury, Race 2 – 6. Nostalgia ($2.00)

Gutsy little run on debut when deep for a good portion of the race before finally crossing at the 500m and knocking up late.

Two nice trials this time in, the 2nd in the best time of the morning on a day that included the likes of Russian Conquest and Aft Cabin. And not knocked around in doing so.

McDonald to steer and meets moderate opposition.

Canterbury, Race 3 – 5. Balkans ($2.10)

A race dominated by debutants here and it looks very hard to go past the well bred Godolphin colt by Lonhro out of a Group 3 winning mare in Ottoman.

Not the flashiest time of the day when he won his most recent trial, but I’m sure he could have run some if he had wanted to.

Not concerned by the raced brigade, and he is a clear standout of the trial files.

Exciting prospect.

Doomben, Race 9 – 3. Orient’s Secret ($2.45)

There looks to be a couple of progressive types here but we are banking on the Matty Dunn/ Nash Rawiller combo that has served us well in the past, to come to the fore late in the day.

He’s a gritty on pace customer this 3YO gelding by Spill The Beans so you can expect Nash to drive him forward and be looking to extract plenty out of him late.

Fitter now, 4th up after a long break. Expect a bold showing.
