We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, January 4, and provided our best horse racing tips.
Whether it’s to spend more time with the family, in the gym or to give up alcohol, I’m sure we’ve all made some sort of new year resolution. Ours is simple, and that’s to find more winners for you!
Despite Wednesday’s fields being quite competitive, we believe we have found some value at both Warwick Farm and Eagle Farm, a Godolphin galloper ready to fire at Geelong and a good thing in the west.
We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, January 4.
Eagle Farm, Race 1 – 7. Damiani ($17/$3.50)
Happy to have a throw at the stumps here with our on top selection Damiani. He got back last start here at Eagle Farm and didn’t have the clearest of paths late in the race, climbing over their backs the majority of the straight.
He’s since been back to the trials where he coasted to the line under jockey Sean Cormack, who takes the reins here, to finish fourth.
The rise to 1845m looks ideal now and despite being a 19 start maiden, his opposition have had their fair share of chances.
Hoping to see him take up a position around midfield with some cover and he should be strong to the line late.

Geelong, Race 4 – 6. Indifference ($3.00)
This Godolphin trained galloper got back last start and made some nice late ground, in a race controlled by those on speed.
The last 600m of the race was clocked in a sizzling 32.60 and this bloke stopped the clock at 32.18 seconds. A complete forgive considering those midfield and beyond had no mathematical hope of winning.
His runs prior at Rosehill and Moonee Valley were solid and he looks well suited in this race from the good gate. In form hoop Ben Melham goes on and he should be very hard to hold out.

Warwick Farm, Race 7 – 10. Ka Bling ($10/$3.00)
Despite being no match for the smart Gundy Bridge last start, this bloke certainly didn’t disappoint and ran some slick late sectionals to finish second here at Warwick Farm.
His two prior runs in this preparation were solid and he should be ready to peak now. He’s drawn to get a nice run behind the speed here from gate 5 and jockey Kerrin McEvoy sticks with him.
He ticks plenty of boxes in what looks a winnable BM72. At the price we’re happy to go with him and he looks a good each-way bet.

Belmont, Race 1 – 5. Lucky Sue ($3.00)
Not many horses go straight from a maiden to stronger class and win, but that’s exactly what this filly did last start.
After towling her rivals up at Northam to score by 5.2L, she went on with the job last start at Belmont and was victorious again in good style.
Her late sectionals have been terrific at her past three starts and had form as a 2YO around Amelia’s Jewel and co.
She does step up to 1200m here but the way she’s racing that looks to be no issue and we’re happy to make her the best of the day.

Eagle Farm, Race 8 – 7. Kopangi ($4.40)
This lightly raced son of Ocean Park looks to be knocking on the door after a solid third here at Eagle Farm last start, following a good run at the Gold Coast in a hot little race.
He was jumping straight from 1350m to 1825m on that occasion and will be improved by that run heading into this.
Leading Brisbane hoop Ryan Maloney goes on and despite being drawn wide, will have plenty of time to find a position in the run.
He deserves to be at the top end of betting and feel he only needs to repeat his last effort to go close here.
