Free Horse Racing Tips - 11th Jan

Overwhelmed?

Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, January 11, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Get in there, grab it, and get out again! That’s right. We are on a hit and run mission this week in what is a fairly thin early new year midweek race card.

We’ve targeted mostly maiden and lightly raced progressive gallopers this week to get us paid early on, so you can then kick back and enjoy the summer spoils.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, January 11.

Oakbank, Race 1 – 5. Pointless Praise ($1.85)

Flashy chestnut with a big staying action who has miles more upside than this whole lot combined.

The step to 1900m is him all over, will be too good for this lot.

Warwick Farm, Race 1 – 7. Huracanevo ($10/$3.20)

We are going with our ‘Best Roughie of the Day’ play in the first of the day.

Looks to be genuine tempo here, certainly enough to annoy the top weight who has to lump the 60kg.

I thought J Mac made a rare tactical error on him last start when he handed up early and then got caught muddling in the mid section of the race. Kathy rode the winner there and she takes over today. Expect her to work forward from the draw and serve it up to Moscow Night who is highly suspect at this trip.

That sets it up nicely for a run on horse, and there looks to be a few of them on exposed form, but I thought the Ryan/Alexiou runner was the real eye catcher with the most upside out of them at this stage.

Like the draw, like the shadow roll going on, and like the price.

Definite each-way value, and follow any market push in.

Warwick Farm, Race 2 – 1. Maritima ($5.00/$2.00)

Very open race as the early markets suggest where they went up close to $5.00 or better the field with only a point separating the top 3 in the market however, I thought the top weight deserved to be a clear favourite.

Her record would suggest she may be something of a non-winner but watch her replays and you will see that is far from true.

Her only poor run came when she appeared to resent the saddle or the rider and bucked coming out two back at Canterbury when favourite. Forgive her that and she has hardly put a foot wrong. Always puts in, and does seem genuine in the run to the line which is more than I can say for a few of these off the replays.

A good draw, and B Prebble doesn’t hurt her chances. Overdue, but think this is her race to lose.

Sandown, Race 1 – 4. Nunthorpe ($1.90)

Short enough in a competitive little race but she did win very smartly on debut.

Travelled like the winner throughout on debut, and it was never really in doubt once she eased clear at the top of the straight.

Had to put in the final 100m with the short run home at Cranbourne, but won comfortably enough.

1400m, and the Lakeside circuit 2nd up looks ideal.

Can go on to better things from here.

Doomben, Race 4 – 5. Buying Time ($2.10)

Talented prospect who resumes here after nearly a year off.

Was very new to it his first campaign where he looked like he would win by panels at the 200m in each of his three runs, but really had to be reminded of what he was there for over the final stages.

That was enough to get it done in his first two starts in midweek grade but it probably cost him the ‘W’ when he went to Saturday metro grade.

May have also had some soreness issues which made him shirk the task when under pressure.

A good spell, and a nice trial, hopefully he has ironed that out. He meets moderate opposition here. Suitable trip, good draw and the services of Brodie Loy.

Should just win if right.
