Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, February 22, and provided our best horse racing tips.

There looks to be some much needed rain on the way to relieve parts of Sydney from a recent run of warm weather. With the rail out at Warwick Farm it could prove a tricky card so we are looking to get in and get paid early, before the track deteriorates too much, and we are going with a couple of picks there who have match fitness on their side.

We head to Sale in East Gippsland for the midweek meeting in Victoria where again we have found our two best on that card early, whilst we expect our best of the day to be bollocking home late in race 2 at Eagle Farm, coming back from an impressive debut in Stakes grade.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, February 22.

Sale, Race 1 – 2. Tavino Bay ($4.00)

Knocking on the door for a win after two recent second placings.

Most recently circled the field deepest on the corner making a sustained run after getting a long way out of his ground around Stony Creek.

Chased home strongly there, certainly bettering Doughboy Hollow who has opened up favourite for this.

Jake Noonan stays with him, and he looks suited by this track and trip in an eight horse field.

Warwick Farm, Race 2 – 8. Pereille ($1.50)

I didn’t have him down as a genuine conveyance, but he put in an honest effort when resuming in a maiden handicap carrying 60.5kg, so we are banking on the fact he has turned the corner.

Goes to set weights here against older horses. Gets McDonald and barrier 1. He’s by Fastnet Rock who handles all going and he has placed on rain affected going in the past.

Should be able to break through and prove a multiplier for your later bets.

Sale, Race 2 – 8. Gold Manuka ($1.80)

Not much in this outside of the favourite and this 4YO mare has done enough to suggest she deserves to be the clear elect.

The stable has started the year well, and Stackhouse and Warren have shared plenty of success when they team up.

A bit of a drive from their Mornington base to Sale, but it looks worth the trip as they have found a very suitable race here.

Eagle Farm, Race 2 – 4. Within Reason ($2.90)

Maiden taking on a couple of Class 1 horses here but she does look to have a bit of class about her.

Stormed home from last running a slick final section on debut in the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes. An early 2YO race which can prove a handy form reference.

Gets back to Eagle Farm for her first up assignment. Again at the 1000m in a small field with suitable tempo.

This is much weaker than what she faced on debut, and think she will prove too good for them.

Warwick Farm, Race 4 – 1. Hollywood Hero ($3.30)

Interesting decision to back up and go to the mile here.

Strong support last week when he looked home before being bloused late.

I don’t think the mile will pose any problems though. He has obviously come through the run well, and he is by Sacred Falls so the wet track will suit.

The 2kgs off for Dylan Gibbons is enough to offset the extra weight he has been allotted on account of his narrow defeat last week.

Interesting runner, can go one better.

Best Bet – 4. Within Reason (Eagle Farm, Race 2)
Next Best – 8. Gold Manuka (Sale, Race 2)
