Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, December 7, and provided our best horse racing tips.

We’ve been on a good run lately, with our top tips saluting at better than 50% in the last fortnight across the most recent four meetings.

But that doesn’t mean we intend to rest on our laurels, as we have once again scoured the race fields across the country to not only maintain, but to build on that strike rate as we approach the silly season, where you just know you are going to need plenty of the folding stuff in your wallets.

We have ventured to Ipswich, Sandown, Warwick Farm and even Balaklava in South Australia where we find our best bet, on a day where we have done the form across four states and will be having a bet across three different time zones just to bring you our selections.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, December 7.

Warwick Farm, Race 1 – 5. Roussillon ($6.00/$1.95)

Fairly thin early 2YO race this, with good stakes money on offer, so it is no surprise to see the powerful Godolphin team with three in here as they chase valuable riches for their vast band of youngsters.

I’ve been pretty impressed by the stablemate Cylinders, in just the small handful of 2YO races we’ve seen so far and there is a comparable formline through this colt, another stablemate Remedies, and the aforementioned who has been luckless in two starts in harder races than this.

Remedies was a very strong winner on debut, but this Exceed and Excel colt was easily the next best run out of the race in which he had no luck and should have finished a lot closer.

Cylinders was the best of good things beaten at Caulfield at start number two. Remedies finished 4th behind him there only beaten 1.6L, so if you think this horse is within a couple of lengths of Remedies, then you have to think he’s a huge chance in this, because Cylinders would be winning this by a space.

Bred to go early, drawn perfect, and gets weight off for Tyler Schiller who is riding in career form.

Easy to warm to him on exposed form, and at the nice price.

Balaklava, Race 2 – 7. Street Hustler ($5.50/$2.00)

Happy to take on the unraced brigade, which on form really leaves us with just the #7 and the #12. And I think the barrier God’s have decided our fate for us here.

Quietly liked the run of the #12 on debut however she did get fired up inside of runners in that, and I can envision something similar happening here if they dig her up from the extreme outside draw.

Probably wouldn’t be a concern if they were coming back in trip, but they are stepping to 1200m, and the #12 has to be a risk on running that out just on her first run alone, let alone if she fires up when having to cover ground.

And that only leaves one, the 4YO Street Boss mare, who is nearing toward a win, certainly on the way she hit the line late last start.

She gets the good draw, the Group 1 winning rider, and the right trip now.

Ipswich, Race 1 – 4. Valley of Dreams ($2.70)

The selections this week are heavily weighted to the openers on the card, just by coincidence, however as opposed to our other R1 selections, we find ourselves in a Class 4 here as opposed to a Maiden, and gee whiz! Wouldn’t you like to have one in this race?

The promising Da Party Gal was basically a good thing beaten last start, but the fact this horse ran as well as it did, and was able to capitalise on the other runners bad luck, tells us the blinkers on have sharpened this mare right up, and she is the one to beat here.

Healthy respect for Da Party Gal who proved our suspicions right by coming out next start and winning when we tipped her. She has a bunch more upside than these and anything that is making her earn its wins, is going to be hard to shake here.

Should just be able to truck along in behind them, and put pay to this lot fairly quickly.

Sandown, Race 1 – 8. Southern Fire ($13/$3.50)

Tricky enough Maiden for 3YO fillies to kick off the Sandown card but there is one here worth a play at odds.

A few first starters with solid trials, most notably the second of the Begg fillies, Kermaceto.

She was probably the most impressive of the triallers, winning her heat comfortably but in a comparatively slow time across the morning.

Inclined to lean toward something from the raced brigade on the back of that, where I narrowed it down to two runners, the #6 and the #8. Both were eye-catching when running on for placings late last start, but I’m happy to go with the Stephen Brown runner at juicy double figure odds as opposed to the McGrath runner who has opened early favourite.

Really liked what she did late there where she looked a racy type when debuting, and should only benefit from the experience plus the step up in trip and getting on to the roomy Hillside circuit.

Quality stable who wouldn’t bring her to town if they didn’t think she was up to it. Worth a ticket if each-way betting holds up.

Warwick Farm, Race 6 – 7. Vegas Raider ($10/$2.80)

Swamped them late in a lucrative 2YO race at Scone on debut. Prepared to forgive the two runs he had after that, but saw enough first up this time in to say that he’s nearing a return to the winner’s stall.

He picked a few off late back along the inside there, chasing home a promising galloper.

He’s going to have to do something similar here, but he does have a nice turn of foot, and looks to have come back in good order.

Getting back on track, and can build on his return in his next couple.
