We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Tuesday, November 1, and provided our best horse racing tips.

With a wet Melbourne Cup day forecast for Flemington, we’ve combed the rest of the country to try and find you a few fancies if you’re looking to have a flutter a little further afar.

We have made three selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Tuesday, November 1.

Morphettville, Race 2 – 7. Daunting Decision ($10/$2.45)

Knocking on the door of a maiden win here and hoping she can breakthrough for us early on the big Melbourne Cup day card.

Strong on pace effort in town on a Saturday at her debut when run down with 100m to go.

Was then three weeks between runs when they headed to the tight Halidon circuit where the rider failed to capitalise on the good draw and was forced to cover ground on the corner, going down just over a length. Probably should have gone very close to winning there.

A gutsy effort at Balaklava subsequent to that when parked outside the lead and was run down by a first starter who looks to have a fair bit of promise.

The 1050m suits, as does the 3kg off for the highly talented apprentice Jade Hampson. She’s been riding at 30 per cent since transferring to SA, and knows how to get her mounts out and running after having cut her teeth in Darwin. That is the way to ride this girl, and she can break through at nice odds here.

Kembla Grange, Race 4 – 5. Good Lieutenant ($6.00/$2.25)

Kicked off this time in with Matthew Smith after a stable change.

He was fairly plain in his first two starts, when in behind horses over unsuitable trips.

Given a trial before his last start where he travelled wide before being given a rev up and finished off strongly outside of horses.

He repeated that performance when they took him to Gosford his next start, closing strongly over 1200m for a good second.

Gets to 1400m here which looks ideal. Handles the heavy, and not fazed by the wide draw as he appears to do his best work when not cluttered up by other runners.

Darwin, Race 5 – 1. To The Point ($4.40)

Whether you’re in front on the punt by the length of the Flemington straight, over having your ears scrubbed off at the tail of the field in the great staying test that is Melbourne Cup day, we’ve found you one in the Top End late in proceedings that you just want to be on.

Highly doubt there’s a trainer in the country with a better strike rate than Chloe Baxter who is knocking up training winners since taking out her licence back in June.

This horse is putting the pickets up on the fence and looks a very bright prospect for the barn with two strong wins since being transferred to Baxter from Ben Brisbourne in Wangaratta.

He attacked the line in his Darwin debut to arrive late, then had them covered a long way from home after being given a charmed run by leading local rider Paul Shiers second up.

Like Baxter’s training career, this gelding has hit the ground running in Darwin, and expect plenty more winners to come from both.

The best of the day on Melbourne Cup day.
