We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, September 24, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Grand Final Day in Melbourne so we head off down the holiday coast for our Victorian metropolitan meeting this Saturday.

We think we’ve found one there, whilst we head up over the range from Brisbane where it is the feature Weetwood Handicap and Toowoomba Cup meeting for Saturday racing in Queensland. And by no means a sideshow or a minor cameo, it is of course the Group 1 Golden Rose at Rosehill where we are confident in a Victorian raider getting the job done for us at a nice price.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, September 24.

Toowoomba, Race 4 – 8. Madame Odette ($4.40)

Did an excellent job on debut when niggled at the whole way to keep in touch with them over the 1200m at Ipswich. She sprinted quickly off a solid tempo there and won like a good horse, gearing down on the line.

Had work to do from a poor draw second up. She got herself there though settling in the 1/1 only for the rider to take a few bad options on the corner. Still doing some nice work late behind the highly promising Prince Shalaa.

Gets out past the mile here at just start three, which looks ideal for her on what we’ve seen so far.

This is well within her grasp.

Mornington, Race 6 – 3. La Rocque ($7.50/$2.50)

She just wins this if she’s anywhere near right, and her most recent jump out here at her home track of Mornington certainly suggests that.

Looked highly promising in her first campaign, winning comfortably on debut at Pakenham before never in doubt first look down the straight six at Flemington in the G3 Breeders Stakes. Resumed her next prep hitting the line strongly behind Zapateo and we know that is good form to be tapping into.

Failed in the Atlantic Jewel after that and tipped straight out before two disappointing runs where she never looked right last time in.

Her jump out suggests she is back on track, and I’d suggest this race has been targeted by the prominent local stable as a kill race to start her campaign.

She is certainly Spring Carnival quality, and I don’t think too many of these will be heading that way.

Great price.

Newcastle, Race 6 – 2. Casual Connection ($8.00/$2.75)

Had been sweating on this bloke turning up in a race like this… then he draws 19/20.

That’s unfortunate but it will only help the price.

Probably should have won both runs to date. Stormed home on debut when never really got a crack at them. Then drew inside second up, hitting the line between runners late before getting jammed out.

The 1600m is ideal and bred to relish the cut out of the ground. Hutchings stays on again.

Prepared to declare him best of the day even from the draw. Scratchings will help.

Rosehill, Race 8 – 3. Jacquinot ($7.50/$2.50)

With a few holes and a couple of chinks starting to appear in the Sydney 2YO form of last season, it is very hard to go past this colt who taps in to a different form vein.

He’s lined up against this mob just the once in the Golden Slipper. That was at the end of his prep yet he still performed well. Outside of that he’s always been the ‘gonna’ type horse. Who was ‘gonna’ blow them away the day he put it all together, and he basically did that in the McNeil, overpowering the very talented Aft Cabin who has won again since.

The 1400m looks to be no issue. Not sure the ground is exactly his preferred surface but they are all relatively inexperienced and are all going to have to get through it. The good draw helps.

Would be very surprised if he doesn’t run top 3 and is an each way price.

Rosehill, Race 10 – 7. Nasturtium ($9.00/$3.00)

Victim of a poor ride first up where the apprentice rider carved out a couple of low 10 second sections mid race. He is good this entire but few are good enough to do that.

Tim Clark gets legged up here, renowned as basically the best in the business when it comes to rating them in front, which is exactly how this looks to pan out here.

Drawn out but oozes speed. Should lead them up and give them something to catch at odds.

Total forgive run first up, make use of the value here late in the day.
