Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, September 23, and provided our best horse racing tips.

A clear pattern emerging here on the tip page with just the two states required for our top picks this week.

It’s Golden Rose day at Rosehill, and like this race has been since its inception, we see as strong a field of 3YO’s line up here as you will all season.

The Golden Slipper winner Shinzo returns, however we are expecting the runner up from that race, Cylinder, to extract his revenge this time around.

There looks plenty of value on a deep program both at Rosehill and Caulfield with plenty of interest in pre post markets for the upcoming features and we’ve included a few sneaky tips here that could see you sitting on a fat multi ticket come any one of the big Spring Saturdays coming up.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, September 23.

Rosehill, Race 4 – 1. Barber ($9.00/$2.20)

Don’t think we’ve really got to see the best of Barber to date.

Huge win in the Golden Gift. Then resumed with a nice win over subsequent Blue Diamond winner Little Brose.

Two awful rides in the two Grand Finals, the Diamond and the Golden Slipper then copped a heavy track in the kindergarten when far from disgraced running 3rd to Libertad.

The Little Brose form ties into Cylinder as does the Libertad form which speaks for itself.

That was the best 2YO form line and it is proving to be the best 3YO form line early spring.

It is a hard enough race, but it would take something exceptional to beat him.

Not put off by his trial where he was absolutely strangled from the time the gates opened. That just tells me he’s flying and they didn’t want to show him up. And it looks like it has worked going off opening prices.

Not concerned by the top weight, given who is riding. He’s worth at least 2kg in a tight finish!

Rosehill, Race 5 – 7. Al Aabir ($4.20)

Absolutely flying this horse.

Would need to win this and hope for a decent whack from the handicapper to get into The Metropolitan which would please this author greatly.

That does look a little fanciful on paper at this point, however this looks a very realistic pay day.

He’s been eye catching in each of his past three runs, making ground strongly late over unsuitable trips giving you the impression he is crying out for the mile and a half here.

Won the Winter Cup over this track and trip, remarkably on a good track for that time of year, and he gets that again here. They’ve done a good job to bring him back to the scene of the crime with just a kilo and a half more.

Primed for this.

Caulfield, Race 5 – 1. Treasurway ($16/$4.60)

Big fan of this filly and you can basically forget she went around first up.

She was very impressive winning the Group 3 in Adelaide over Heuristic before she went out for a spell. And she worked home strongly over 1200m behind a subsequent stakes winner her start prior to that.

Draws the inside again here, and meets a weaker field than she encountered in the Charm Stone race last start.

Can feature here at big odds with even luck.

Rosehill, Race 6 – 3. Zougotcha ($3.20)

Looks ready to go 3rd up now.

She had a very hard prep last time in, culminating in a midfield finish in the Doncaster.

Just the one trial leading into this campaign, and I suggested she was anything but wound up first up and she raced accordingly.

Blinkers went on 2nd up for a much improved run.

The stablemate is the favourite here and it has been the more hyped horse throughout their careers but I feel Zougotcha has always been the better of the two.

They square off here anyway in what the punters have narrowed down to basically a match race so we will get to find out.

Sticking with Zougotcha and that will most likely get her in the Epsom field so worth some thought as she was very well supported in last year’s Doncaster Mile.

Rosehill, Race 8 – 3. Cylinder ($4.20)

There’s two clear stand out horses on exposed form in the current 3YO ranks, one we know has come back in great order, the other is a question mark.

Shinzo is the benchmark from last season but the fact we haven’t seen him as yet, and he wears a tongue tie first up into this is concerning.

Cylinder was tradesmen like first up on the Melbourne leg, then stunning 2nd up.

I really like Encap as a horse. We found him out of the barrier trials and just missed at good odds in his first two runs in midweek maidens before he went on to claim his first victory in a Group 3 race. Yep, you can be unlucky alright! But that was against inferior cattle than this.

Feels like Nash would win on a broomstick at the minute. The horse draws ideally for his racing pattern, gets his right surface, and hits this 3rd up without having spent all that much petrol 2nd up as he was held up for the vast majority of the straight there.

Needs to tick the 1400m box, but he looks ready now as a furnished 3YO, and Rawiller will extract plenty out of him late.

Wins this, and rockets into The Everest equation. Worth a ticket in both.
