Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, September 10, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Two cards of a very high standard at both Rosehill in Sydney and Flemington in Melbourne this week which is what we can come to expect as the norm over the coming months.

Hopefully we don’t also come to expect this run of ordinary weather which appears to have returned to the eastern seaboard as the norm as well and we can finally get a forecast in keeping with the quality of programming.

That aside most of our selections are proven in the wet, and the best we can do is hope to be more accurate than the weather forecasters seem to be at the minute.

The Group 1 Makybe Diva is the highlight of the day and we’ve found our best bet in that race. A couple of attractively priced prospects throughout the day, while we are going to ‘roll the dice’ on a roughie in the last.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, September 10.

Rosehill, Race 4 – 5. Hameron

Any hopes of an improving track in Sydney looked to have been dashed if the forecast is anywhere near right, however that should matter little for this 5yo Gelding.

Relished the heavy ground to score convincingly first up. The runner up out of that race has won since, and this lightly raced European bred looks to be a horse on the up, which history suggests is a real plus in races like these.

3 from 5 now, and legitimate excuses his only two defeats. One was that J Mac was outsmarted by a front running Rachel King ride, the other was when he ran into a subsequent Group 1 placegetter in a Bm64 midweek race. Still finished runner up and performed admirably on both of those occasions.

He is a progressive type who can get your bank account progressing in the right direction early on this Saturday.

Rosehill, Race 6 – 11. Zou Tiger

Big jump in grade here but we are going with him based on two factors.

The first is the absolute ease of his first up win. It was very much against inferior opposition on that day but it was super impressive and tells you he has not only returned after a light 2yo campaign in very good order, but it also tells you he is well above average.

You would certainly need to be to win this, but the Zougotcha form is one of the better form lines around to be tapping into and you find that through this colt, also by Zoustar. And you also find it in last week’s Group 2 Furious Stakes winner North Star Lass who was able to hold out one of the top two 2yo’s of the last season in She’s Extreme.

That is enough of a push along with the bonus that a couple of runners drawn inside him have come out already. Berry should be able to work across outside the lead given the way he drove to the front resuming.  And the ground shouldn’t pose an issue.

Exciting colt who is up to this, his biggest test to date.

Flemington, Race 5 – 1. I’m Thunderstruck

Got out to silly double figure odds resuming and we almost pulled it off.

Missed the price now but he does look ideally suited here.

He was never fully wound up early last preparation so he is best compared off his third up run when on a seven day back up which saw him beaten just a length and a half to Zaaki in the All Star mile.

He is obviously a lot more forward this time as is evident by his run in the Memsie. He is drawn well, handles all going, and Zahra is riding in great form.

Looks very hard to beat.

Rosehill, Race 8 – 10. Jamaea

We’ve included her here but with a big weather warning!

Her run first up was outstanding. Galloped on coming out of the machine causing her to get a long way out of her ground, she chased home a very smart filly and was eye catching. We just needed something on the better side of a 6 rated track here and we would have been unloading.

Not much hope of getting that, the best we can ask for is no worse than a soft 7, and with the bookies already taking a set against her in early markets, she may get out to silly odds and there may be a run on pattern to the track by this stage of the day.

Aside from that, everything else shapes up perfectly. Good draw, Berry has stayed on down to 53kg. At their respective points in their careers, she is most likely the best horse in the field here and now. She’s just had no luck once again with the weather.

If all else fails, keep her safe for a dry track and back to Randwick.

Flemington, Race 9 – 1. Let’srollthedice

A couple of the better Melbourne 2yo’s have been disappointing when resuming. Blue Diamond winner Daumier was very plain, Semillion was disappointing, and on paper you could probably say the same for this fellow but I tend to think there was more merit in that run than the form guide suggests.

Eased out of the back as they settled, then covered ground on the corner looking to improve around Moonee Valley before the run told late. I thought his run was equally as meritorious as Foujita San who starts favourite in this in a very open market. He draws better, gets to a more suitable trip, and has a kilo weight turnaround on that horse for being beaten just 0.2L.

He was competitive, albeit outclassed by the two star fillies in the big Sydney 2yo G1’s. She’s All Class has come out and run superbly first up, whilst the nation will be watching Fireburn when she resumes earlier on in the day. He wasn’t that far off them and has always given the impression he would be better at 3yo. There were definitely enough signs of that in his first up run to say he warrants an each way ticket here.
