Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, October 1, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Group 1 features at headquarters in both main states. It doesn’t get much better.

Whilst Royal Randwick is the star of the show with the Epsom Handicap and Metropolitan Handicap double, the Flemington meeting highlighted by the Turnbull Stakes also features a very strong support card with some cracking three year old races for both sexes.

A shame to see one month of Spring already gone, but the good news is, there’s still two more to go!

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, October 1.

Flemington, Race 3 – 10. Tajneed ($16/$4.20)

Big win on debut at Sandown.

She sat deep there, sprinted quickly, then hit the front at the 150m and was able to hold out a couple of handy ones.

I have a lot of respect for the third horse, Foxy Cleopatra, who goes around a short priced favourite in the opener at Moonee Valley tonight. Expect she’ll be winning there which makes this form look even more attractive.

Big step up to stakes grade, but think she has come out of a good form race, and is talented enough to make the big leap.

Worth a ticket at odds.

Randwick, Race 6 – 3. Zougotcha ($3.30)

Long suspected the Sydney 2YO form of last season wouldn’t stand up.

The two star fillies have been just pass marks so far, and Letsrollthedice who was in behind doesn’t look like winning one.

Jacquinot came out of the Golden Slipper but he was certainly a tired horse at the end of his prep given the way he was able to put them away on Saturday in the Golden Rose.

Seriously doubt this was ever a target race for Fireburn on a 7 day backup, but here she is starting favourite.

Zougotcha has been the find of the early Spring. Knocked off In Secret first up who looked all but home in the Golden Rose. Then was edging clear late in the Tea Rose for a gutsy win.

Looks like she will relish the fight at the mile and loves the ground.

She’s a filly in form with no question marks and will give them one hell of a time trying to get past her.

Best of the day.

Kembla Grange, Race 5 – 3. Shalailed ($2.50)

Broke through in town for his maiden win last campaign then produced a cheeky run first up where he travelled just in behind them before hitting the front and looking the winner half way down the straight.

Just peaked late there, to run 4th, beaten less than three quarters of a length.

That is the first time he has missed a place in his six career starts. He stays at 1200m, strips fitter second up, draws good, and relishes the ground.

Think he is the best of good things if the meeting holds up.

Randwick, Race 7 – 3. Mazu ($3.70)

Very hard to go past Lost and Running off their first up runs, but I’ve always had this bloke in front of him and I’m prepared to bank on a sharp improvement 2nd up.

Already in The Everest, and this stable is renowned for having their stars spot on come Grand Final day.

Better suited at 1200m, loves the wet, and Sam Clipperton is in career best form.

Will rocket up Everest betting if he wins this.

Randwick, Race 9 – 15. Hameron ($13/$3.90)

Not sure you’re allowed to say they’ve been dead on him his last two, so let’s just say it would appear he was being kept for this.

Like most people, I thought he was a good thing two back when he started close to even money. Didn’t really let down like we had seen him do in the past. A case to say he was dour and maybe felt the track.

Shocked they went back to 1900m and a firm track again last start. Drifted in the betting. Settled 5 pairs further back than he’s ever been in his life, and the rider found more dead ends in the straight than a King’s Cross cabbie at 4am. Remarkable effort to run 3rd.

Wants Randwick, wants 2400m and the wetter the better.

Forget about his rating compared to the minimum weight as he’s very lightly raced and hasn’t had the opportunity to accumulate ratings points. And whilst Jay Ford isn’t the prolific G1 hoop he was back in the Takeover Target days, he’s a pretty good option at 51kg.

The sprinkling of early money for him at each way odds is no surprise.
