Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, May 13, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Doomben 10,000 day is a sign the action is really heating up in Brisbane for the Winter.

The race is shaping up as a real battle of two emerging sprinting superstars in Giga Kick and Aft Cabin. We’ve wisely avoided that race but have scoured the rest of the fields at Doomben and beyond to take the hard work out of finding you winners.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, May 13.

Doomben, Race 2 – 2. Atmosphere ($4.00)

Lonhro gelding out of a Street Cry mare, really starting to hit his straps at the back end of his 3YO season.

Has put in three really solid runs this time in, all at 1400m, against very good opposition, in races from which the form has stood up.

Hard fit, quality galloper, on pacer who is suited by the Doomben 1350m.

Kembla Grange, Race 3 – 1. Stylish Pedrille ($5.50/$2.15)

Tough little mare who has narrowly missed twice now.

Strong effort when she sat deep in the heavy going on debut. Looked home there before the inside runner kicked back late.

Average sort of a ride her 2nd start where she kept boxing on late over 1300m.

Tipped out, then trialled strongly and straight to the races, flying late over 900m after bombing the start to miss by a whisker.

The 1200m looks her right trip. Gets a good surface and the services of one of the best provincial jockeys on the circuit from a soft draw.

Set to break through.

Doomben, Race 5 – 5. The King ($23/$5.00)

Prepared to forgive his defeat at Warwick Farm two back when they eased out of the speed battle early then got squeezed out of a run in the straight.

A dominant winner at Kembla subsequently, and his run three back was a beauty behind Libertad who would go on to win the Kindergarten Stakes.

This looks like a very open race. Very wary of Sovereign Fund back on the dry, but think this colt is worth an each-way ticket at the odds.

Loaded with potential, a bold run would not shock.

Doomben, Race 7 – 1. Kovalica ($1.85)

Only looks the one danger here and I was happy enough with how he held him last start.

Think this sort of trip is going to be his preference going forward, and he looks to have the Derby at his mercy.

Ready to stamp his authority.

Flemington, Race 9 – 2. Airman ($3.80)

I Am Invincible gelding from the Hawkes barn who is building an imposing record.

Scratched recently from an easier affair, this is his hardest test to date, but he does look up to it.

Bettered Headwall and Crosswinds first up, and although both those horses were disappointing in their next start and sent straight to the paddock, I do think they are both above average.

Untried down the straight or at Flemington under race conditions but had a good look at the outside straight in a recent jump out when not asked to do a lot.

Right up to this.
