Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, July 29, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Last Saturday for the horse racing calendar year with some interesting battles taking place around the country in the various premierships.

We’ll steer clear of the trophy hunters here and focus on what we do best and that is finding you value winners around the country.

We are running at a fifty percent strike rate for the past seven days so we will be sure to have plenty in the bank to treat our equine friends when they celebrate their birthdays on August 1.

It might be dry season in the Top End, but things are certainly heating up in Darwin as they ramp up for their upcoming feature sprint and cup meetings and after finding the Derby winner at good value last Saturday, we look there again with two selections both desperate to gain a start in their respective Grand Finals.

We find a nice filly on the up and a handy mare resuming at Randwick in Sydney, and we have our play of the day in the first at Moonee Valley with a Godolphin ex Sydney sider heading south for a raid on Saturday stakes money.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, July 29.

Moonee Valley, Race 1 – 1. Roussilon ($4.20)

Returned to the winner’s stall first up with a strong win over 1100m.

Drops back to the 1000m here from a good draw around Moonee Valley with the services of B Shinn.

Both place getters have won since out of the benchmark provincial race last start.

More than handy galloper who is right up to this going off his dominant victory last start in good company.

Randwick, Race 6 – 8. Gently Rolled ($8.50/$2.90)

Promising Press Statement filly from the Bryce Heys stable who deserves her chance in town.

She has given nothing else a look in at her past two, most recently cruising to the front at the top of the straight at Newcastle over 1400m.

Drops back to 1300m here which looks ideal. Drawn well enough and possesses good tactical speed she can land in behind the leaders one off.

Well and truly up to metro grade on what she has been showing at the provincials.

Horse on the up who looks a good play at each way odds.

Darwin, Race 3 – 6. Change Is Coming (TBA)

Former Anthony Cummings galloper who has been in the care of Gary Clarke in Darwin for some time now, and looked very smart when he finally produced him over 1000m last start running close to a track record for the short course.

Steps to 1100m here which should pose no issue and not sure too many of these are up to producing the sort of gallop he produced last start.

Not sure he will get enough points in time for the Palmerston Sprint but expect to see him win here and then be very hard to beat in the 1000m Lightning Handicap on cup day, a race named in honour of Clarke’s former apprentice, Simone Montgomerie.

Randwick, Race 10 – 3. Banana Queen ($3.20)

Lightly raced soon to be 5YO mare from the Gerald Runa and Sterling Alexiou stable.

Trialled in terrific style at Hawkesbury. Not at all knocked around and cruising to the line in behind them under her own steam.

Just the one trial which is a positive as it will have her on the fresh side as it appears they went to the well with her once too often last prep trying to squeeze a black type win out of her.

Should have won the start prior to that when Avdulla went for home too early.

Nash rides here so you can be sure he will extract plenty out of her late in the piece, first up.

Very nice horse who I expect to be featuring in better races in the upcoming spring.

Darwin, Race 7 – 7. He’s The Ultimate ($14/$3.80)

Ex Moody and Van Dyke galloper now with Chloe Baxter in Darwin and he looks ready to produce a bold run here third up at good odds.

Two fairly conservative rides to date in the Top End have familiarised him with the dirt surface.

Stays at a mile again here in bid to gain entry to the Darwin Cup on Monday week.

Very capable middle distance horse when right. Will look to make his own luck under wily veteran hoop Wayne Davis.

Can rocket into cup calculations with even luck in this.
