We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, December 9, and provided our best horse racing tips.

We’ll give the Ballarat Cup meeting a miss this week, likewise Day 1 on the new circuit at the Gold Coast, and focus our attention on the tried and tested turf of Royal Randwick, Kembla Grange and Eagle Farm.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, December 9.

Kembla Grange, Race 1 – 4. Glorioso (TBA)

Looks a very nice galloper.

Endured a tough run at Newcastle over the 900m on debut, sitting 3 deep throughout and facing the driving rain.

Looked home before swamped by Deep Joy who had tucked in behind them and was produced late with one run.

It’s gone straight to the Inglis Nursery and is well found in the market.

This filly probably would have beaten it if you swap the runs.

Suggest that makes her very hard to beat in a provincial maiden.

Randwick, Race 5 – 6. Deep Joy ($5.50/$2.15)

Happy to stick with the Maher and Eustace filly here off the back of a maiden win of a Sunday at Newcastle.

That race was run in horrendous conditions, and she showed a level of professionalism that belied the fact she was debuting by tucking in behind them then being produced 150m out and responding under riding.

Home 33.25 and the Godolphin filly that she ran down looks the bet of the day in race 1 at Kembla.

Not an easy race but I was very taken by her race manners and turn of foot.

Looks a ready made 2YO.

Randwick, Race 6 – 5. Foxy Cleopatra

*This horse has since been scratched.*

Absolute horror watch for backers last start.

Should have won the Cranbourne Cup with a leg in the air.

Unfortunately C Williams was asleep at the wheel there.

Randwick 2000m suits. Third up. Runner up at Group 3 level last Spring beating home Pavitra who would place at G1 level and perform admirably in the Autumn.

She’s a very nice mare, bred for these trips and further.

Always had plenty of promise and has clearly come back in top order after an extended spell.

Randwick, Race 7 – 6. Osipenko ($8.50/$2.90)

I didn’t think I would be still tipping this horse in races come December, and I certainly didn’t think I would ever be tipping him as my ‘best roughie of the day’.

I honestly thought this horse would be kicking back in a 40 acre paddock somewhere after a Spring campaign that netted at least a couple of G1 places and possibly a G1 win.

It was a prep that promised a lot and delivered over 100k in stakes money, but it still feels disappointing.

I thought he had The Gong at his mercy last start, and I am fairly certain if J Mac had his time over again, he would have ridden the race differently.

Poor read there going back on a horse whose best career run to date saw him sit 4th the fence behind Alligator Blood and finish an unlucky third beaten under 2L.

Plenty of opportunity to roll forward last start which McDonald failed to do, hence why T Clark is engaged here.

Tipping they didn’t predict a 24/24 draw but the decision seems taken out of their hands now.

More than capable of beating this lot with a positive ride, provided he has one more in him at the end of a prep where little has gone right.

Worth a ticket at odds.

Eagle Farm, Race 6 – 2. Shooting For Gold ($5.00/$2.00)

Desperately wanted to tip him last start on the back of his first up run but rolled the dice with the car park draw.

He sat no better than 5 wide there throughout and still looked the winner at the 200m.

A very high quality galloper who loves this track and trip and has to be hard fit after his last run.

Gets a soft draw and benefits greatly from the compression of the weights under Quality Handicap conditions.

This looks a steal for him particularly with a big question mark on the top weight after his last run.
