Overwhelmed?

Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, December 24, and provided our best horse racing tips.

Christmas is just about upon us folks, and this Chrissy Eve we suggest leaving out plenty of milk and cookies for Gai and Adrian as we are relying on the powerful Waterhouse/ Bott training partnership to deliver us the presents.

We look to the duo to continue their long run of success with juveniles as we make them our bankers for both the 2YO features across the country.

We’ve also put our faith in another stable favourite at Royal Randwick who is ready to bounce back into the winner’s stalls whilst we are looking to an in-form galloper to atone at Doomben along with a short priced and highly promising charge to kick off his campaign on the right note at The Valley.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, December 24.

Randwick, Race 1 – 5. Platinum Jubilee ($2.50)

Hot little race to open the Randwick card but it is simply too hard to go past this Waterhouse filly after her debut win.

Came from near last and a hopeless position at the top of the straight in the Gimcrack to win by a space.

It looked as though she would have done well to lock down 3rd place at the 100m in that, until the afterburners went on and she accelerated clear at the 50m.

The 1100m with the small field and the solid tempo should suit, and if she unleashes a similar finish to what she did on debut, she will be going past these again late.

Moonee Valley, Race 3 – 3. Inundation ($1.95)

Happy to forgive the run at the end of last prep.

Raced flat on a track played closer to heavy that day and we know he is much better than that.

Cruised to the line in a strong recent jump out win.

He should kick off his campaign on the right foot here.

Doomben, Race 5 – 3. The Novelist ($4.00)

Catch me if you can!

The bookies basically have this a race in two and we think the Waterhouse runner at the better value is certainly the way to go.

A lot of holes starting to appear in the form through the undefeated Miss Coota who went up as a pronounced early favourite.

On the other hand, you can’t fault the effort of the Waterhouse colt. He’s by a noted sire of speedy 2YO’s, he won by 5L on debut in smart time with a leg in the air, home in 32.50 that day. And there is a good reason why Gai has a cabinet full of Golden Slippers and Magic Millions trophies.

She’s the best at it. Group 1 winning rider Jimmy Innes Jnr sticks and follows her to Brisbane. A whole bunch of ticks. He might be a bit vulnerable late at the 1200m, at just start two, but he also might wear them out well before then as they try and stay in touch with him.

Plenty to like, and if you feel the same why not have something small on in the 2YO Magic Millions futures market. Profiles very well for that feature race in early 2023.

Randwick, Race 7 – 2. Jojo Was A Man ($7.50/$2.10)

Plain when snagged back under the big weight resuming.

Good effort 2nd up in the G3 Festival Stakes when deep throughout. Then a solid on pace effort that just took its toll late when getting to the mile for the first time this prep.

He has taken a while to come to hand but he is a high quality galloper when right and looks ready to do something fourth run in, second go at a mile. Good track, with a handy claim for regular rider Reece Jones.

Looks a nice play at around double figure odds.

Doomben, Race 9 – 1. Arentee ($3.30)

Has come back in good style after an ambiguous run first up.

Good win second up in similar grade to this under Mel Castle, then dead set stiff to miss in a race worth $250k last start.

Back to a Class 3 Handicap here where he is weighted up to his best but they have wisely claimed again with Castle resuming steering duties. She rode him a treat in his last win and seems to get along with him beautifully.

Going to need some luck from the draw but with the rail basically in the True position, he only needs to produce his withering finish with the light weight on his back and he can mow these down.

Track currently a Soft, with some rain forecast for Saturday. He does his best racing on Good ground. Some watch there given this is the last in the day. But if the weather holds off and the track holds up, you can bet here with confidence.
