Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, December 2, and provided our best horse racing tips.

The first Saturday of summer this week although fairly mild conditions are forecast in the two main states with racing at Caulfield and Rosehill.

Not such issues in QLD though where it is literally beautiful one day, and perfect the next as they head into their summer series of racing kicking off at Doomben this week.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, December 2.

Rosehill, Race 1 – 2. Storm Boy ($1.95)

Scratched from what looked a winnable midweek race here a fortnight ago. That would have seen him line up against a couple of these and I was fairly confident he would get the money there so no reason to jump off.

Two very strong trials, spacing them in his 2nd hitout.

He looks a very typical jump and run 2YO from the Waterhouse and Bott barn and appears to have plenty of upside being by a U.S Triple Crown winner.

Barrier 1, Tim Clark. Expect a bold showing.

Rosehill, Race 7 – 15. Acquitted

*This horse has since been scratched.*

Eye catching run from well back first up at Newcastle where he was strung up early in the straight then motored to the line late once he saw clean air.

Runner up in stakes grade in the Winter Stakes last prep.

Drops 5.5kg here and gets out to his right trip with a good 2nd up record.

Not concerned by the draw, goes back anyway.

Look for him late at juicy odds.

Caulfield, Race 8 – 2. Huetor

*This horse has since been scratched.*

Convinced this horse is going better than his form page suggests.

Dual Doomben Cup winner made good ground late in the Craven Plate. Then got an absolute minute off them in the run in the Champions Stakes from the outside draw before doing some nice work late once he finally tacked on to them.

Damian Lane takes over here and he gets to 2400m from a decent draw.

He’s a legitimate Group 1 WFA stayer, you don’t get too many races run under those conditions but this is, and he looks ready to show his best.

Rosehill, Race 8 – 2. Dragonstone ($4.80)

Always like backing one of Joe Pride’s on a 7 day backup and happy to pen all the form out of ‘The Gong’ meeting at Kembla Grange last week.

Track played leadership early until they started getting down the outside fence late and the rider missed the kick on him so he was left with few options.

Needed to get going sooner when caught up behind tiring horses at the top of the straight. Think he could have run 2nd with a better ride.

Fitter and good 2nd up record. Options from the gate in a small field.

Needs another win but happy to stick with him for now.

Doomben, Race 7 – 3. Abounding ($3.20)

Cracking filly who has had next to no luck to date but is yet to run a bad race.

Proved far too good for them last start despite being deep throughout.

Never on the track, endured a horrendous run in the Bill Carter last prep and narrowly missed to Zia.

I think that is the right form line to be tapping into for this race.

Draws the lowest number she’s drawn to date.

Any replication of her previous form is good enough to win this with even luck in running.

Best Bet – 3. Abounding (Doomben, Race 7)
Next Best – 2. Huetor (Caulfield, Race 8)
