Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, August 5, and provided our best horse racing tips.

We cast our net across four tracks this week from the Top End to Flemington with a hope of bagging the punters a value winner.

Have snared some good price catches over the past week but we also recognise that the little fish are sweet too, and we have an assortment of prices for our tips at Flemington, Rosehill, Eagle Farm and also in Darwin where it is closing in on cup time on Monday but before that is run and won they have their feature Palmerston Sprint this weekend.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, August 5.

Flemington, Race 1 – 8. River Noire ($2.80)

Runner up but not disgraced when 2nd up at 1200m here.

Franked that form with a strong win at The Valley next start before being tipped out.

Promising mare with a handy record. Has looked very forward in recent jump outs.

Can get us off to a flyer.

Rosehill, Race 2 – 15. Glacier Queen ($13/$4.00)

*This horse has since been scratched.*

Horror draw but they scratched from a winnable midweek race to take on this.

Really liked her trial and really liked the way she has attacked the line in some of her previous outings.

Stable mate that was the first emergency gets a run now, and it goes forward.

Early support in the markets. Watch closely.

Eagle Farm, Race 7 – 4. Bean Foggy ($5.50/$2.15)

Third up into this No Metro Win race after two solid performances this time in.

Held up at the top of the straight on both occasions. Looked home last start before one snuck under his neck back along the inside in the Maclean Cup on the final day of the Grafton carnival.

Never raced here but no reason why it wouldn’t suit. Stays at 1400m, draws good and nicely in after the claim.

Ready to win

Rosehill, Race 8 – 2. Ingratiating ($8.00/$2.35)

Very interesting affair this.

Some high quality sprinters, the majority of which are resuming.

Golden Mile being set for what you would assume is going to be a sprinting campaign after failures when stretched out past 1400m. Significant stable change for Big Parade. And of course everything is a year older.

Going with Ingratiating again though. Amazed how many wanted to pot him off his first up run. Stepped away poorly and never had much luck in transit. He’s a 5YO bull who clearly took the benefit from the run and was very impressive for Blake Shinn in the Bletchingly next start.

They’ve elected to go with Zac Lloyd here, with McDonald to ride the stable mate who they are desperate for more black type with. That’s about all I’d read into that. I thought his trials were only plain for a horse of his supposed standard.

Big Parade on the other hand couldn’t have been more impressive winning his trial by some 20+ lengths. Now a 7YO he has been transferred from Mark Newnham to Joe Pride who is a master at getting the most out of older sprinters.

Need to see Golden Mile reproduce his early 3YO form on the track, and need to see Big Parade convert from a 900m trial win to a 1200m stakes run.

Ingratiating is hard fit, a last start Group 3 winner at the trip, and a high quality animal who we’ve got material evidence of him putting it together again on race day.

Picks himself on that score and is over the odds.

Darwin, Race 6 – 1. Change Is Coming ($1.40)

Beaten at the short quote second up after nearly breaking the track record when debuting on the dirt.

No real excuses there other than perhaps that took a bit out of him.

Does have some issues with his manners in and around the gates. Hopefully better for recent experience though.

Back to the 1000m, and another small field. He will blow these away if he’s right.

Cost himself a place in the sprint feature with his last start flop, but I think he can atone here.
