The Scarborough Stakes, also known as the Champagne Stakes, is a Group 3 race for three-year-old fillies that takes place at Moonee Valley Racecourse.
The 1200m race has set weights and has a total prize pool of $160,000. In 2020 it will be on Friday, September 25, the same night as the Moir Stakes.
In 2019, the race was won by Loving Gaby, with Damian Lane on board. The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained runner edged out Exhilarates and Villami in a thrilling race and paid around the $6 mark for punters.

The race was first run in 1975 as the Moonee Valley Champagne Stakes and was won by Miss Ollie. Since 2016 it has been known as the Scarborough Stakes, and over the years the likes of Houtzen, Snitzerland and Eloping have won the race.
The Scarborough Stakes was classed as a Group 2 for almost 20 years, but from 2005 onwards it has been a Group 3 race.
2019 winner Loving Gaby clocked 1:10.90 to win, however the fastest time in the race over the last 20 years belongs to Take Pride. The Murray Johnson-trained runner managed to go sub-1:10, coming in at 1:09.92 in 2015.
