The Everest favourite Nature Strip ticked an all-important box by successfully jumping out of the machines and trialing on Monday morning.

Racing NSW stewards had ordered the star sprinter to return to the trials after he last week bucked jockey James McDonald when leaving the gates.

There was no such drama this week, with the son of Nicconi completing the trial without any drama.

Nature Strip was slow out of the machines on Monday morning and was under a heavy hold from McDonald for the entirety of the 900m trip, finishing in 53.36 seconds.

Nature Strip will now head to Saturday’s Group 2 2020 Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Randwick, with fellow The Everest slot holder Classique Legend also set to line up, as well as Fituese, Libertini, and Fasika.

From Muswellbrook to the Melbourne Cup, Will is mad about all things racing and sport. Spent countless hours in the backyard as a child pretending to be Glenn McGrath, and has been known to get deadly late swing with a taped tennis ball.
