Just Three Runners for Wednesday’s Group 3 Blue Sapphire Stakes

There have been just three acceptors for Wednesday’s Group 3 Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m), the feature event of Caulfield’s midweek meeting.

Godolphin’s Hanseatic, Maher & Eustace’s Anders, and Ranting from the Leon & Troy Corstens camp are the three confirmed runners for the $400,000 event.

Malua Racing saw the humorous side of the small field size, poking fun at the barrier draw on twitter.

The Group 3 Coongy Cup (2000m) will also be contested on Wednesday, offering the winner a golden ticket into Saturday’s Caulfield Cup, with Al Galayel, Django Freeman, and Nonconformist some of the big name runners lining up.
