These late winter meets can be tricky for punters as we see the seasoned winter competitors try to use their fitness edge over the more fancied types beginning their spring campaigns, however, The Shark was in fine form and secured a nice fill up for The Shark Club!
The results were headlined by Momentum To Win’s massive effort at a big $21 price tag, reeling in favourite Mushaireb, and fighting off Mangione in a breathtaking three-way photo!

Caulfield
It was an interesting day at Caulfield, with short-priced favourites Sovereign Award ($2.20), Plein Ciel ($1.80), Rulership ($2.40), and Parlophone ($3.00) all failing to salute in a tough day at the office for them.
The Shark was able to navigate around this and deliver some big results for The Shark Club, with Jamie Kah’s excellent ride on Propelle a highlight, and a fresh Kings Will Dream rattling home well for an each way result at nice odds.
Randwick
The Shark took a stand against the well-fancied Mask Crusader, and backed in Godolphin’s Varda to get the job done, which she did thanks to a nice steer from James McDonald, which used her fitness advantage perfectly. Masked Crusader lost no fans with that performance first up, and will be one to watch throughout spring, with a potential run in The Everest rumoured.
The day was capped off by Aliferous who snuck home at a very tidy $4 price for the place behind Man Of Peace and Angel Of Truth, beating home the fancied Order Again and Melbourne Cup hopeful Shared Ambition.
