Star Western Australian galloper Showmanship has been scratched from the 2020 Rupert Clarke Stakes due to a tendon injury.
The Bob Peters’ trained star will be out for the remainder of the spring carnival, as confirmed by Racing Victoria Stewards on twitter.
Showmanship had been one of the in-form performers during the early part of spring, with back-to-back wins at Caulfield and Moonee Valley to start his campaign, and he was a $3.40 faovurite in the all-in Rupert Clarke Stakes market.
2020 Memsie Stakes winner Behemoth has been installed as the new favourite at $3.40, with Superstorm ($7), Tagaloa ($7), and Age Of Chivalry ($9) the other runners in single figures.
