1. Prowess (4) – $2.35F

Jockey – Mark Zahra 56kg

Trainer – Roger James & Robert Wellwood

Kiwi filly who is a winner of six from eight including the Group 1 Bonecrusher, which she won last start at Pukekohe. Should enjoy a sweet run from the good draw here and has form around New Zealand’s best, including La Crique and Legarto. Well suited under the conditions here and looks one of the main hopes.

2. Fireburn (6) – $8.00

Jockey – Tyler Schiller (a) 56kg

Trainer – Gary Portelli

Former Golden Slipper-winning two year old who hasn’t been sighted in the winner’s stall for some time now. Latest effort behind Zougotcha was solid and she seems to be in want of a trip like this now. Definitely has the class to win but others may have her covered here.

3. Pavitra (9) – $3.20

Jockey – Chad Schofield 56kg

Trainer – Richard & Will Freedman
