September 5: The Shark Club has a Big Day Out at The Valley

Mon 7th September 2020

There was plenty of good quality Group racing on Saturday and The Shark rose to the occasion, hauling in some big results for The Shark Club!

If Ashlor and Yulong January had held on it would have been a day for the ages, but they were still very nice each way results. Let’s take a look at the action from Feehan Stakes Day at The Valley, and Chelmsford Stakes Day at Randwick…

Moonee Valley

The track played fairly which was good for punters, with runners able to come from anywhere in run to win.

How Womantic was a perfect start to the day, leading all the way to get The Shark Club off to a fast start. Ghodeleine slashed home late after being caught in an awkward pocket for a very tidy $4.50 place result in Race 2.

Showmanship was one of the more impressive wins on the day, and The Shark happily scooped up the odds on offer.

Ashlor put in a massive performance in the McEwen Stakes at $35, just getting done on the line by Bella Vella. Nevertheless, it was a big $8 place price, and a very nice each way collect!

Watch: Ashlor just get nailed late by Bella Vella in the Group 2 McEwen Stakes.
