The Shark saved his best until last on Saturday, with Subpoenaed storming home for a massive result to end the weekend! Let’s take a look at the results from action packed cards that included the Moir Stakes, the Underwood Stakes, and the Golden Rose, with plenty of upsets!

Moonee Valley

The Shark Club was happy to see Levendi wind back the clock at The Valley, with the galloper placing for the first time in 129 weeks, way back when he won the Australian Derby in 2018. At a generous $5 for the place, it was a great way to start the weekend.

Watch: Levendi fight off the fast finishing Mirage Dancer to secure a juicy each way result at The Valley on Friday night.

Caulfield

It was a tough day at the office at Caulfield, where How Womantic just got pipped after doing a stack of work in the run and can certainly be followed next start.

Watch: How Womantic fight hard in traffic with Pinyin sneaking the win on the inside.

The Shark Club were also on Buffalo River who just got run down by Windstorm, with the lack of racing fitness certainly proved the difference late.

Flying Award was also unlucky, with the promising colt reported to have had an abnormal respiratory noise following his disappointing run in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude.

Rosehill

However, The Shark had more success in Sydney, with Grey Lion sneaking home in third for a very solid $3 price for the place.

The highlight of the day was definitely Subpoenaed, who stormed home down the outside to defeat hot favourite Haut Brion Her, and made sure The Shark Club’s Saturday night fund was topped up!

From Muswellbrook to the Melbourne Cup, Will is mad about all things racing and sport. Spent countless hours in the backyard as a child pretending to be Glenn McGrath, and has been known to get deadly late swing with a taped tennis ball.
