Sandown
Race 2 – Meehni – $5.50
This Tony McEvoy Sebring mare raced keenly over the 1800m last start and looked just about home before getting nabbed late on the line.
Back to 1400m here and if she settles in the run, looks tough to beat and a good bet at the price.
Verdict: Backing Meehni at $5.50.

Race 7 – Caffrey – $4.50
A familiar combo here with Peter Moody and Luke Nolen combining for Caffrey. Will take improvement from his solid first up hit out at Flemington, with this a much easier task. Has already won here at Sandown and ticks a lot of boxes at the price.
Verdict: Backing Caffrey at $4.50.

Race 8 – Takumi – $19
It wouldn’t be a set from The Shark without a trademark roughie, with Takumi looking overs at the very generous $19 price on offer. Won well at Warrnambool last start and looks more than capable of getting into the numbers here
Verdict: Backing Takumi at $19/$5.

Warwick Farm
Race 4 – Ballistic Lover – $6.50
Won two on the trot this preparation before having a tough time of it at listed level at the 1200m. Drops back to 1000m and the Benchmark 68 level, plus has B Avdulla onboard, all three factors are massive advantages.
Verdict: Backing Ballistic Lover at $6.50
