These winter meets can be sink or swim for punters with lesser runners going around on wet tracks, but The Shark put on a dominant display in Sydney, with Rothenburg getting home at $7.50, and Frankely Awesome saluting at a massive $41.00!
Frankely Awesome certainly lived up to her name and returned to some of her late three-year-old form when she was tussling with star mare Verry Elleegant, stuck three deep the trip and breaking free from traffic at the 300m before powering home at big odds.
The well-bred Frankely Awesome returns to the winners circle after 644 days taking out the W J Mckell Cup with a great ride from Jason Collett and an impressive training performance @Leesracing @LizzieJelfs found her in the yard at $11 with @tabcomau 🙌🔥 pic.twitter.com/EUBynJ7Hk0

This was her first win for 644-days, and The Shark was more than happy to pounce on the massive overs at $41.00!
The day was off to a flyer for The Shark Club when James McDonald flew home on Rothenburg along the rail, stalking the leaders and recording the best 800m sectional of the race, and more importantly, a very nice $7.50 collect!
