We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, November 17th, and provided our best horse racing tips!
Following a Saturday that saw a win, three seconds and a third from our five picks, we are keen to go even better and find some more winners today! Sportsbet are offering a bonus back, up to $50, if your horse comes 2nd or 3rd in Races 1-4 at both Sandown and Rosehill, so we will look to capatilise on that promotion with two of our free horse racing tips for Wednesday, November 17th.
Sandown Lakeside, Race 3 – 6. Lady Adelaide ($7/$2.30)
Happy to take a go at Lady Adelaide here in race 3 at Sandown. While Spinning comes out of two Group 3 races and she certainly wasn’t disgraced there, we are happy to look around her for some value. Lady Adelaide stands out as she had genuine excuses when just going down by 0.2L in her last start. She walked out of the gates and then was running on heels in the early stages, giving the leaders a considerable head start, but still powered home down the outside to almost win. If she can jump better and replicate that effort, she should run over the top of them.

Rosehill, Race 4 – 7. Dynasties ($3.50)
With the James McDonad/Chris Waller favourite scratched from this race, along with two others, there are just seven in the field and with Sportsbet offering a bonus bet back to 3rd, we are going to have a play. While Kerrin McEvoy couldn’t win on Winx at the moment, Dynasties looks well placed to strike here, in just her third career start. Her win on debut was on a soft track and the way she finished over 1400m last start, when going down by half a length, indicated that the 1500m should be no issue for her. If they are swooping home in the first three races, she will have every chance of coming home over the top here.
Sandown Lakeside, Race 6 – 9. Sweet Sixteen ($12/$3.50)
Sweet Sixteen was supposed to be running on Saturday at Cranbourne but was held out due to the bottomless track, and now she finds an easier race here at Sandown on Wednesday. She did well to make ground first up in a higher grade and drops back to a BM64 here with good second up form (2:1-0-1). She will need some luck from the inside draw, as she is a backmarker, but Daniel Moor is in fine form at the moment and Sweet Sixteen has good results on soft tracks, so she will be coming for them late.
Doomben, Race 7 – 14. Fetch ($3.10)
This three-year-old filly has been a tough one to judge, going down at $4 and $2.30 so far this prep. She was extremely impressive breaking her maiden on debut last preparation, hence the good starting price profile, and now has a couple of things that may go in her favour. She gets a jockey change and she rises up to 1200m for the first time. Given she attacked the line hard in her last start, when going down by 0.2L, she should eat up the extra distance, and it may be time that Fetch breaks through for the win this preparation.

Belmont, Race 9 – 7. Antique Jewel ($2.35)
We went away from Pikey in the last on Saturday and it burnt us, so we are happy to jump straight back on here with Antique Jewel. She was an impressive winner over this track/distance last start, and clearly has an affinity with Belmont considering she placed in her only other run here. The most important factor is that she will be finding a hard deck here, as she hasn’t placed in her two runs on soft but is 8:2-2-3 on good tracks. She will be up on the pace from the good draw and we like Pikey to guide her home.
Best Bet – 7. Antique Jewel (Belmont, Race 9)
Next Best – 14. Fetch (Doomben, Race 7)
Best Roughie – 6. Lady Adelaide (Sandown, Race 3)
