The Sydney run on debut was sound, then he has produced two solid efforts since resuming in Melbourne, the latest where he chased the smart Le Zebra all the way to the line.

Warwick Farm, Race 1 – 2. Discover ($7.00/$2.15)
You won’t miss this first starter in the run.
Big gross type of a gelding by Reliable Man, they are wisely kicking him off over 1400m, and at ‘The Farm’ as opposed to the tight turning Canterbury track.
Draws out, which suits as I expect him to go back and be charging home late.
Looks to have a future, and has been well supported early which is a positive lead.
Value play.

Doomben, Race 3 – 5. Caldante

Knocking on the door for Stuart Kendrick after transferring from the McEvoy barn.
Yet to put in a bad run from 3 starts up north, the latest a withering run late between runners over the 1400m.
They wisely claim here, and it looks like he gets his chance with a bit of weight off his back.

Strathalbyn, Race 2 – 9. Queen In The North

It does feel like we are chasing our tail with her, but she’s a terrific little filly who always gives you a run for your money, even though she is yet to break through.
Barrier 2 here with a short run home at Strath. Hard fit, stays at 1200m and Jake Toeroek wisely sticks.
Would not at all be surprised if she puts a couple together once she breaks her duck as she has run into a couple of handy horses in her time.
Looks an ideal opportunity for her.

Warwick Farm, Race 3 – 10. No More Lies ($3.50)
Going with the Snowden filly again here.
She went very close when we tipped her on debut, and there is absolutely no reason to jump off.
No support for her that day when she blew in the betting, but she opened favourite here and has been solid since.
Draws good again, steps up 100m 2nd up. She is the one to beat.
