We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, June 8, and provided our best horse racing tips.
Midweek racing down the eastern seaboard once again looks like we will be hit with wet tracks and punters will need to find those runners that can handle the conditions. Victorian racing heads to Gippsland with the big track at Sale once again giving all runners their chance. Hopefully Doomben will provide a firmer surface up in Queensland while Canterbury Park is currently rated a Heavy 8.
Belmont and Balaklava are the two remaining meetings in Australia on Wednesday and both tracks have had rain.
We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, June 8.
Balaklava, Race 1 – 10. Lights Of Broadway ($2.00)
It is a bit risky tipping a best of the day in a maiden at Balaklava but Lights Of Broadway gets out to the 1600m in Race 1 and thought she would just be a little too smart for these.
Raced wide and stuck on bravely when placed at Gawler two starts back, then she chased hard but again found one better final stages.
She has been placed in two slow track outings and if she gets through the heavy ground here she will win.

Doomben, Race 4 – 4. Fetch ($2.80)
Looking forward to Fetch returning to racing at Doomben. She was an impressive winner here two starts back then took on Listed company in the Mode Plate before break, and the run was forgivable as she covered plenty of ground and may have been at the end of prep.
She looked impressive winning a recent trial on the poly track by over 3 lengths. Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and this looks an ideal race for her to return in.
She is yet to race on heavy ground but if there is some improvement in the ground, I’m confident she will go close to winning this.

Canterbury Park, Race 4 – 8. Duke Of Gordon ($10/$2.90)
Looks to be plenty of value around the Sydney meeting on Wednesday. John O’Shea has a nice gelding that has been getting through the wet ground of late in Duke Of Gordon.
He was dominant winning at Wyong two starts back then raced up on the speed and held minor placing at Kensington last start. He has been put up at nice juicy odds in what looks a very even race and would suggest having something each-way.

Sale, Race 6 – 3. He’s On Form ($2.70)
There is no hotter stable in the country at the moment than Patrick Payne. He brings an in form gelding to Sale in He’s On Form. Placed here two starts back then he went to Mornington and again found one better.
Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and with stable rider Billy Egan staying aboard, he finally gets his chance to return to the winners stall.

Belmont Park, Race 4 – 7. Celtic Grey ($7.50/$2.30)
There is an old adage in horse racing that says “Greys in the wet”. Celtic Grey is yet to encounter wet ground in her two starts but she is likely to strike one at Belmont Park on Wednesday and if she gets through it she can win this.
She controlled the race from the front here last start and was only overran in the final stages. Looking for the rider to adopt similar tactics in this and if she can get an easy run up front will take catching from the corner.
