Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, June 1, and provided our best horse racing tips.

It is the first day of what is shaping up to be a long winter if the first half of 2022 is anything to go by, although we do get some reprieve with Soft rated tracks at Doomben and Sandown Lakeside. And whilst it’s another Heavy 10 at Warwick Farm, the advantage there being at least we are comparing like for like when we line up the form across the past few months.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, June 1.

Sandown Lakeside, Race 1 – 9. White Russian ($5.00/$1.85)

‘The Firm’ team up here for a debutant who has trialed well and was scratched recently to be saved for this.

There’s nothing in this that has lit the track up on exposed form and there’s enough of a lead in to say this filly is here to win.

Would only need to see a betting push to be diving in here.

Doomben, Race 1 – 6. Diamond Lass ($3.80)

Dwelt, then never given any peace over the 800m at Ipswich when resuming.

A couple of nightmare rides last campaign where she should have broken her duck already.

With that in mind, she certainly has the ability to win this second up even though there looks to be some decent opposition.

Michael Hellyer keeps the ride, she gets a slightly better surface and gets a chance to balance up at the 1050m as opposed to the 800m scamper.

Doomben, Race 2 – 4. Gulf of Venice ($2.10)

The owners of this one have been very patient and it looks to have paid off here as he is set to debut in a very winnable race.

Five trials, a change of trainer and a change of state but he looks primed for this on his two outings for Van Dyke.

Maloney was on board on both of those occasions where he found the line strongly over shorter trips under his own steam. Draws well here and has won trials on both good and rain affected going.

Should be winning.

Warwick Farm, Race 1 – 6. Glacier Queen ($4.80/$2.25)

Happy to go with the Dave Pfieffer trained 3YO with the run under her belt.

There’s a mixed bag in this but I liked the way she found the line after being ridden conservatively from a sticky draw and around the tricky Hawkesbury circuit.

She draws better here, comes back to her home track, and Alysha Collet stays on board.

Warwick Farm, Race 7 – 4. Media Starguest ($7.50/$2.65)

Slow maturing, big lump of a gelding who went close to cracking it at Saturday metro grade last prep.

Really liked his return at Canterbury over an unsuitable trip when urged along well before the bend, covering a heap of ground, and still boxing on late.

The rider just reverse parked him as they were settling last start and he landed back last near the fence and just had nothing to drag him into the race.

He draws better here, steps up to his right trip, third up, gets a claim from an in form rider who generally puts them in the right spot and has good Heavy track stats.

Plenty to like about him as an each way play late in the day where we are hopefully on the right side of the ledger.

Good luck punters.
