Free Horse Racing Tips - 27th Jul

Overwhelmed?

Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday July 27, and provided our best horse racing tips.

From Sandown in Melbourne, right through to Darwin in the Top End, we have been hard at work studying the form for you this week. We’ve also found our best roghie and best bet of the day in a sodden Sydney, where they race at Warwick Farm and we are hoping a long overdue maiden salutes for us at Doomben.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, July 27.

Warwick Farm, Race 1 – 3. Nolan ($7.50/$2.65)

*This horse has since been scratched.*

We are going to activate our ‘best roughie of the day’ play nice and early here in the first of the Sydney card.

If there is one thing we’ve learnt in recent times, it is if you like one in Sydney, don’t be shy to back it early as quite a few of these meetings are falling over with the awful run of weather they are having.

Whilst this 2YO son of Caravaggio is still a maiden, it is hard to find a real blot of his copy book at this stage. If we wanted to mark him harshly, the run in the Group 2 Skyline was his worst effort so far.

But genuine excuses were there with him in behind them in atrocious conditions and the race was won by what may yet to prove to be the smartest horse to come out of that 2YO crop in the lightly raced Promitto.

Showed plenty of character to bounce back with a cracking finish to go down less than 1.5L in the Black Opal before being tipped out.

Nice trial win albeit on the Synthetic which most are restricted to at present. Drawn wide but I anticipate that’s not going to be a disadvantage as the day progresses and he produces a strong finish, ideally suited to 1300/1400m which this affair is going to be more like in the heavy conditions.

Represents good value early.

Doomben, Race 3 – 2. Landsborough Lad ($2.40)

He owes us a bit this bloke, but I think KWT can prove the tonic here.

Been knocking on the door, probably ridden a bit too confident last start and the draw as well as a handy horse bought him unstuck prior to that.

Gets the 1 gate, back to 1200m, and a claim from one of the country’s better apprentice riders.

Should finally break through.

Warwick Farm, Race 2 – 3. The Milky Bar Kid ($2.35)

Got to stick with this bloke here even though he does face not only tougher opposition than he would have in recent meetings which fell over, but also his toughest assignment on paper to date.

But it is not just for sentimental reasons we are tipping him here. I do believe this horse is loaded with ability, and if the picket fence he’s put next to his name isn’t enough to prove that, then just refer back to his pedigree page which fills you with confidence that these conditions are ideal for him.

Would be hard to imagine, even in these trying conditions, that the Waterhouse team hasn’t kept his work up to him like they are famous for.

This is probably closer to a Saturday race for this time of year, but we are going to see that with a backlog of nominations on account of abandoned and transferred meetings. However, I wouldn’t have any issue backing him in town on a weekend and I imagine that will be his next assignment after he wins this.

Going with him as our best of the day.

Sandown, Race 3 – 2. Canbya ($3.30)

Looks ready to produce a winning effort and the Godolphin team have wisely come back to midweek and thrown D Oliver on here.

Got a long way out of her ground under the apprentice rider at Flemington from a poor draw last before closing very strongly late. No real panic stations from the Godolphin team, staying at 1400m, on a big track, no gear changes other than to leg the senior rider up. That will prove the difference here and see this promising filly back in the winner’s stall.

Darwin, Race 5 – 5. Bear Forever ($4.60)

Guaranteed a good track, very few scratchings, and some good riders in town. Darwin is a great place to have a bet at this time of year and as this author can attest to, an even better place for a holiday!

Local conditioner Tommy Logan has been without luck of late which tells us he is due to return to the winner’s stall very shortly and he engages the services of the in-form Sonja Wiseman here whose riding has been close to faultless so far this carnival.

This 3YO gelding ran into what looks a promising type for these parts in Akoni last start.

Prior to that he drew poorly and was sound behind Kentucky Ruler who should have finished closer to them in the Guineas than he did, and he ran into eventual Guineas winner Wolfburn over an unsuitable trip prior to that.

Stays at 1300m, is hard fit and drawn to suit. Looks the best bet on the Darwin card.
