Overwhelmed?

We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Wednesday, July 20, and provided our best horse racing tips.

We find ourselves with a reasonably strong reference point to work off in Sydney this week with another rain affected Kensington track with the rail out. We are confident in our best of the day there along with a very promising type that we blackbooked out of our trial files. We’ve also made selections at Ipswich and in Melbourne where they race on the spacious Hillside circuit.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, July 20.

Sandown, Race 1 – 3. Guru Ram Das ($3.60)

You like to see them trial like this. Trucking up in a three and four deep running line overpowering their opposition still under a hold.

I guess it is fair enough to put the 2 up as favourite given it was a last start winner but if this filly is anywhere near right, there will be a huge push for it and will most likely start favourite.

The J Kah booking tells you that is probably the case.

Kensington, Race 1 – 4. Cruizingdafield ($2.65)

Went close on debut as our ‘Best Roughie’ of the day and whilst we aren’t shopping at anywhere near those odds, she is still overs here.

Prepared to say the draw, and the 1150m on debut beat her there more so than the conditions. She travelled in it, and appeared more comfortable on the ground than she did in her trial suggesting she will grow in confidence and come on again here.

Drops back to 1100m and draws better. This is far from a weak maiden with both the 5 and 7 bringing form around crack 2YOs like Fireburn, Serjardan, Queen of the Ball and Shalatin into this. But I’m prepared to take on the Waterhouse runner which was asked and just ran moderate trial times. Rating Snitcat as the main threat but happy to race it on trying ground off just a 740m all weather trial.

Think this filly has a future as bright as those two at least.

Kensington, Race 2 – 11. Sports Legend (TBA)

*This horse has since been scratched.*

He’s been scratched a couple of times trying to avoid wet tracks and bad draws, and then they’ve had to settle for this.

Far from ideal, but it is his home track, he has the pace to cross, and he looks very talented. Trials are too good to ignore and there has been early market support for him to say the stable agree.

Worth chancing if you can get close to an each way price.

Ipswich, Race 4 – 2. Noble Cat ($3.20)

I reckon you’d like to own one in this, a Class 2 at 1700m with $20k going to the winner.

Noble Cat is a lightly raced 4YO who is a last start winner over a subsequent midweek metro winner.

That is good enough to account for these.

Good draw, Orman sticks, seems adaptable in all going, and was sound in a recent 1050m tune up trial at Deagon.

Should be winning.

Kensington, Race 6 – 12. Glacier Queen ($2.80)

Huge fan of this filly and I imagine it will be the last chance you get to back her in midweek grade.

Not much to add here to the form page which speaks for itself. She has gone from strength to strength back under the care of Dave Pfieffer and you can’t get Hughy off her back at the minute which is about as good a push as you’ll get.
