We have studied the form from all races across the country for Tuesday, April 25, and provided our best horse racing tips.
Although the Anzac Day motto might be ‘Lest We Forget’, we are hoping to have a day to remember on the punt this year, and we aren’t talking about playing Two Up!
One of the great days on our national calendar which is rightly celebrated with a cracking set of race cards around the country.
With Flemington abandoned, we have had to scout far and wide, but we think we’ve come up with a profitable set of Anzac Day horse racing tips for you in Sydney at Randwick, at the NSW provincial meeting of Gosford, and we even travel to the Top End for those still standing late in the day.
We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Tuesday, April 25.
Gosford, Race 1 – 6. Mount Warning ($1.75)
Scratched from town in preference for this.
Speedy little filly who ran a really nice race at her second start only to be pounced on late by a handy one.
Snagged after jumping brilliantly in her first trial back, then allowed to slide along in her subsequent trial which she won in good style.
Expect Keagan Latham to lead comfortably here, and hopefully give them the slip turning for home.

Gosford, Race 2 – 8. Lalaguna ($2.15)
Maher and Eustace filly who has been knocking on the door a while and really gets her chance today.
She travelled well outside the talented Queen Yuna last start but just found her too classy when she quickened and the 1300m too far.
They wisely come back to 1200m here, she’s hard fit, against a weak field.
Looks like her day.

Kensington, Race 6 – 2. Rediener ($5.50/$2.15)
Heavily supported in early markets and for good reason.
His two runs this time in have been solid and the form out of the South Pacific Classic stood up really well in the Hawkesbury Guineas on Saturday with Razeta and Atmosphere filling the minors behind the promising Hawaii Five Oh.
Draws well, stays at 1400m, and you get the impression Moreira could win on a broomstick at the moment.
Looks very hard to beat.

2. Rediener ($5.50/$2.15)
Darwin, Race 3 – 5. Swing With Junior ($6.50/$1.95)
We head to the Top End for our best roughie of the day where you can be sure the Anzac Day festivities will be in full swing by this stage of the afternoon.
Whilst her name might suggest she is a topical tip, this bonny little mare is more than that and I expect her to run boldly first up here.
She was building toward a win for her new stable last preparation when she ran into a couple of handy local gallopers in Cudjerie who was in the midst of a hot winning streak, and the talented Poupee who lines up in the feature Pioneer Sprint on Sunday at Alice Springs and is a live hope in a race featuring Amish Boy and Savatoxl.
Swing With Junior’s Dec 31 run behind Poupee was run in horrendous conditions and she was only beaten 2.9L after carrying 2.5kg over her allotted weight.
That was in a 70 rater, she drops to a 0-64 here, back over her preferred trip, and with leading local hoop Paul Shiers engaged. She is also a winner first up in the past.
Expect her to run a cheeky race at odds.

Darwin, Race 4 – 4. Fromthenevernever ($3.50)
Fresh off the back of a breakout win in the final round of the National Apprentice Series last week in Melbourne, in-form apprentice Jade Hampson teams up with the trainer in the Top End with the leading strike rate, Tommy Logan.
Both rider and trainer have been on fire of late with the Darwin based Logan saddling up five winners from his last 12 runners across the Territory. While the well travelled Hampson has also put up the same number of winners from her last dozen rides including the win at Sandown, and a recent treble at Alice Springs on their feature Guineas day.
This horse has thrived on the dirt since arriving in Darwin with 4 wins from 8 starts and has yet to run unplaced. He has been a winner out to 1200m this prep. He steps back out from the 1000m to 1100m, and most importantly meets the early favourite Bel’s Banner 4kgs better at the weight turnaround on account of the stable wisely legging up the low flying Hampson.
Can get the punters the cash late on what is sure to be a long day.
