We'll message you the best tips for today!

We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, June 18, and provided our best horse racing tips.

There’ll be plenty of bleary eyed punters come start time on Saturday after a long week of international racing at Royal Ascot where we continued our dominance of the sprinting ranks on the world stage.

No doubt we’ll give a few ratings points back come the Spring in the global domination stakes once the European stayers hit our shores, but for now you’re only ever as good as your last run, and we’ve got the fastest horse in the world trained by the best trainer in the world Chris Waller, who much like Phar Lap, Russell Crowe, and Neil and Tim Finn, is now officially an Aussie!

Whether all those late nights at Royal Ascot left you on the right or wrong side of the ledger, we’ve got you covered across the Ipswich Cup meeting, along with strong Winter cards at Rosehill and Flemington, and a couple of handy looking bets at Kembla Grange and Murray Bridge.

We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Saturday, June 18.

Murray Bridge, Race 3 – 7. Sigh ($7.50/$2.25)

Got in behind them, copped the kick back on the synthetic at Pakenham on debut before bullocking clear and lengthening out nicely over the final stages. Plenty to like about that sort of work.

Trial winner since, I expect he’ll be winning plenty of races with that sort of attitude and looks shrewdly placed here by Moody and very nicely priced.

Flemington, Race 4 – 2. Quintello ($3.20)

In form and lightly raced 5YO mare from a yard renowned for travelling and placing their horses well.

Scored at Mornington impressively 3 starts back before coming to Sydney for a Saturday grade race and doing much the same.

Probably just beaten by the draw last start going down by a head to the handy Night of Power after working across outside the lead from a wide gate. The winner has continued to race well since and the third horse, Surf Dancer, has come out and won last start and goes around as favourite in the black type McKell Cup at Rosehill where he looks hard to beat.

A step up in grade again for her but it is for most of these and she is racing in great heart and strikes a heavy track again after coming off back to back solid efforts in that going in Sydney.

My best for the Flemington card.

Kembla Grange, Race 3 – 7. Slickman ($16/$6.00)

Had no business whatsoever in winning on debut at Moruya and judging by his price, I think he even took the stable by shock with what he produced.

Wasn’t going to run top half of the field at the top of the straight, was possibly going to run a good 4th at 150m, but somehow got there on the line.

That was at 1010m and the way he finished off the 1200m looks no issue.

Draws well again and G Buckley taking over the steering from Louis Day is a massive plus.

Rosehill, Race 8 – 2. Two Big Fari ($10/$3.20)

He’s in this up to his eyeballs if he produces his best here, and fourth up on a dry track at a course and distance he has won at looks right up his alley.

Found them too sharp first up over an unsuitable trip on a heavy track with a big impost. Then covered ground in the run second up when they rode him quieter than normal and even though he didn’t finish off, he still held his ground in the run to the line.

Worked early to get on pace from the wide draw in the Gunnedah Cup last start, and it was a pretty ugly steer and a tough watch for his supporters after finishing a close second, coming again late in a typically dogged effort.

He’s as tough as nails this bloke, and although he hasn’t won for a while, he always competes at the highest level in bush grade, and has probably been brought to town at the wrong time his last few forays into Saturday metro grade.

Gets back to the scene of his last win over the exact same trip with just a kilo more with the services of a very capable claiming rider who is ready to make a mark in town.

Great value.

Ipswich, Race 7 – 8. Street Dancer ($8.50/$2.80)

Fairly happy to take on the four horses here that aren’t on the minimum which leaves us with a very small window of horses genuinely weighted at the 54kg or those that are capable of running up to that rating on ability/ potential.

I think Street Dancer fits that mould. He was very a highly talented middle distance horse in Sydney as a 3YO before a setback and being transferred to Van Dyke since, who appears to have ironed out his issues.

He’s won 4 from 7 under his tutorship, placed the other two and I’m prepared to forgive the failure on the synthetic where he just never travelled in the run during a period of extreme weather events in southern QLD where plenty would have had their work routines interrupted.

Berdibek is probably starting to run back into the form that we saw him in last prep but you would have ideally liked to have seen him with one more. Ballistic Boy has been hit and miss for some time now and his race manners were well off last start which is a warning sign toward the end of a prep.

And the Neesham runner is tricky to line up, was a winner of a similar grade race to Street Dancer last start but doesn’t have anywhere the miles in the legs and is stepping out past 2000m. I’m not sure Ipswich is going to be his track as opposed to a race like the Caloundra Cup, and he’s half the quote of our tip.

Happy to go with him from the good draw and with the gun young hoop.
