We have studied the form from all races across the country for Saturday, June 11, and provided our best horse racing tips.
One of the biggest days in Queensland racing is Stradbroke Handicap day and this year’s renewal will not let us down with a capacity field and plenty of value for any punter that wants to try their luck. Weather looks to be on the improve on the Eastern seaboard and hopefully racing may finally get away from the heavy tracks that have plagued racing in recent months.
Victorian racing hosts a rare Saturday meeting on the Sandown Hillside track but it would be hard to find a better wet weather track in Australia. Randwick hosts the Listed Bob Charley Stakes which will be run over the 1100m and features an even field.
We have made five selections in total and are confident that we have found you some winners! So, read on below to find our best horse racing tips for this Wednesday, June 11.
Sandown, Race 5 – 3. Unusual Culture ($5.50/$2.05)
*This horse has since been scratched.*
The fillies line up in a Benchmark 78 over the 1300m at Hillside. The Maher/Eustace stable produces one of the more interesting runners of the day with the Kiwi filly Unusual Culture.
She spaced them with an exciting turn-of-hoof to win at Otaki on debut, sprinting clear in the last 200m to win by 4 lengths.
She quickly progressed to Group 3 company and acquitted herself with a close minor placing then again got very close in that class before crossing the Tasman.
She will be better when she gets over further than this but expect her class will take her a long way in this and she looks a safe each-way bet on the program.

Randwick, Race 8 – 6. Dragonstone ($3.70)
He looks ready to win this prep. Pulled up lame when disappointing first-up in Listed company but since then he has been placed in all three starts leading into this.
Likes to get back in his races and been screaming home final stages. He should get the ideal run in behind the speed and if his rider can get some clear air over the final 200m, he should be good enough to get away with this.

Eagle Farm, Race 7 – 10. Sharp ‘N’ Smart ($4.00)
Team Rogerson crossed the Tasman with a smart gelding in Sharp ‘N’ Smart and he nearly stole the prize at his Australian debut when just missed in a driving finish. He gets out to the mile in this and that will suit him.
Political Debate held on to beat him in The Phoenix but expect Hugh Bowman will sit a touch closer on the son of Redwood (GB) in this and he can turn the tables.

Belmont, Race 4 – 4. Buzzoom ($8.50/$3.50)
She got the prize first-up at Ascot when held them all off for a tough win then she was only claimed the final couple of strides at the next start. She stepped out to the 1400m in Listed company last start and punters sent her out odds on but she pulled up lame.
She was given a soft trial at Lark Hill to keep her forward for this and if stable have her right, she gets a chance to return to the winners stall at more attractive odds.

Sandown, Race 9 – 3. Pondus ($20/$5.00)
Michelle Payne takes over the training of this former Team Williams gelding. I cannot believe the early prices being offered for him in what looks a difficult race to finish the program.
It was only last start that he was sent out a short priced favourite in the Group 3 Easter Cup last start and although a touch disappointing final stages was competitive for a long way.
There is no doubt he has the ability to measure up to this field and a change of environment may be an improving factor for him. I’m happy to have something each way.
