New King was the highlight of a very solid day for The Shark Club, with James McDonald producing a peach of a ride on the son of Frankel in his second run in Australia.
After jumping slowly, McDonald took an economical run on the rail and used that saved energy to perfection when peeling out at the 250m mark and running down Frosty Rocks for a big win at $10.00 for The Shark Club.

The well-backed South Pacific was very disappointing, failing to run on in the TAB Handicap at Flemington, where stablemate Exemplar chalked up another win for the Maher Eustace operation.
More impressive was Coming Around, who overcame some contact in the straight and was an easy watch for The Shark Club, as was Tailleur in Sydney, who put them away with ease and looks a progressive type.

The day was capped off by Satori, who fought hard and held on for a place at a very nice $5.50 in the finale at Flemington.
