The Nowra Cup brings with it a class act of jockeys, as well as some elite horses. The best thing about the Nowra Cup is also the hidden value found, with Roughies taking out the race left right and centre over the years.

Nowra Cup Expert Tips

Insensata $21

Insensata is paying a fat sum for the win – rounding in at $21.00.

While the Roughie hasn’t exactly been in prime form as of late, she has accumulated prize money of almost $500,000 over the years, as well as running in some Group One Races.

Practicing at Randwick and Rosehill, means a step down in class on December 6. She’ll also be carrying the lightest weight of the field – meaning there is a strong chance to take home the title.

Also drawn ideally in barrier three – Insensata may be the dark horse you haven’t seen coming.

Definitely worth an each-way bet.

Salsonic $16

Salsonic is lesser value than Insensata, for what I’d also consider a lesser horse.

Despite taking home a win at Randwick in September, and coming off a 4th place at Rosehill in the last matchup before the Nowra Cup, Salsonic should really be slated to finish just outside of that winners circle again.

There is a chance this Roughie could take home the win on December 6, but I’m definitely looking towards Insensata for the upset.

One for the exotics.

Cisco Bay $7.50

While Insensata is definitely representing some clear-cut value, if you want safe money, I’d go with Cisco Bay for the win.

  1. The Horse will be ridden by Group 1 jockey, Robbie Dolan – who has a pretty stellar record at that
  2. Is the sire of So You Think (NZL), elite racehorse, who has accumulated $8,813,497 prize money
  3. Is in some solid form, with 3 recent places at Rosehill and Canterbury
  4. Will be dropping in weight, distance, and class coming into the Nowra Cup

Cisco Bay definitely looks like the best horse out there, by a long mile, with the best jockey.

Definitely worth a punt, with Insensata as a place bet.
