Turnbull Stakes Nominations: Verry Elleegant Early Favourite

Verry Elleegant is the all-in favourite for Saturday’s Group 1 2020 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington.

There were 23 nominations for the $500,000 event, with some of Sydney’s big name horses set to clash with the best Melbourne have to offer for the first time this spring.

Verry Elleegant headlines the nominations, as she continues her journey to the 2020 Caulfield Cup and 2020 Melbourne Cup.

Chris Waller’s star mare has opened the $4 all-in favourite, followed by Melbourne Cup aspirant Surprise Baby ($6), with Makybe Diva Stakes winner Fierce Impact ($8) and Caulfield Cup hopeful Master Of Wine ($8) the next best.
