Talented colt Tagaloa won’t be heading to the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas in January.
The Blue Diamond winner was installed as a leading $13 chance by the TAB in the all-in market for the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, but co-trainer Trent Busuttin has hosed down suggestions his charge will head north for the event.

“He’s back in work but he’ll start up galloping at the end of this week,” Busuttin said.
“If he trials up sufficiently and we’re happy with him, it’s pretty straightforward and we’ll kick him off in the Manfred Stakes (Group Three, 1200m) at Caulfield on January 30.
“Basically, a month later, it will be the Australian Guineas. The plan would be to give him a 1200m, a 1400m (run) and then into the mile of the Australian Guineas.”
Tagaloa hasn’t raced since pulling up with some minor medical problems when finishing last in the Caulfield Guineas, but has been treated patiently and has spelled well.
“He spelled up at Yulong and did very well,” Busuttin said.
“We’re very happy with the way he came back into the stable and he’s ticking over nicely.
“He more or less had a month off to the day and he’s been back in work building up slowly.”
