2020 Melbourne Cup favourite Surprise Baby could line up in the 2020 Zipping Classic (2400m) at Sandown on Saturday, after his disappointing 13th in the two mile contest last week.
The Paul Preusker-trained stayer was heavily supported in the market to start at $6 in the Melbourne Cup, but got too far back and was unable to fight it out in the finish.
There are two other runners nominated for the Zipping Classic coming from the Melbourne Cup, with Miami Bound and Avilius also in the 14 nominations.
Find the full list of nominations below, which includes last year’s winner Southern France.

How good was that! Southern France romps home from the back of the field and wins the Zipping Classic in dominant fashion. pic.twitter.com/Ky6JfyqODT
