Veteran sprinter Santa Ana Lane will bypass the Yes Yes Yes Stakes (1300m) in favour of the VRC Sprint Classic (1200m) at Flemington next week.
Trainers Sam and Anthony Freedman have decided to make the move after significant rain and a predicted heavy track are expected for Rosehill on Saturday.
Santa Ana Lane ran on well last start in The Everest (1200m) finishing sixth, and would have been eligible for a $750,000 bonus if he had won the Yes Yes Yes Stakes, due to his run in The Everest.
Santa Ana Lane will now look to capture his second VRC Sprint Classic (1200m), having won the race in 2018 over In Her Time and Pierata.
