2020 Melbourne Cup favourite Surprise Baby is not taking its place in the final field of the Group 2 2020 Zipping Classic at Sandown on Saturday.
Glen Boss was set to ride the Paul Preusker-trained son of Shocking.
The only runner coming through the Melbourne Cup is Godolphin’s Avilius, who has Damien Oliver booked to ride. Miami Bound will instead take on the Sandown Cup (3200m).
The ultra-consistent Sound opened favourite for the Moroney stable, with Avilius, Future Score, Lord Belvedere, Brimham Rocks, and Princess Jenni all under double figures.
