Mo’unga to Target 2020 Caulfield Guineas

Trainer Chris Waller has confirmed that his talented colt Mo’unga will be heading towards the 2020 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) this spring.

After the a series of eye-catching wins, there was some uncertainty as to whether the camp would target the Caulfield Guineas in Melbourne, or stay in Sydney to contest the Golden Rose or the Spring Champion Stakes.

The son of Savabeel showed an impressive turn of foot to win at Newcastle first up this preparation, before winning the listed Dulcify Stakes at Rosehill last start.

Watch: Mo’unga fly down the outside to win at Newcastle.

Mo’unga is now the $5 favourite for the Caulfield Guineas.
